Any Evoque owners?

Well, its been a while since the actual event, but I remember him saying that it wasnt big enough and not impressed with the interior. He's going for another E - estate again! Next time I speak to him will find out if there was anything specific that bugged him and let you know (i significant)

Pete

Thanks, but I've now decided not to get the Evoque. I'll just hire one again the next time I get the urge.

I see that Skoda have just anounced that they are doing a Laurent & Klement Yeti with lots of extra kit....is this the one you are going for?

Yes, I got all excited when I heard about that, hoping that it would have better quality trim and perhaps even the leather dashboard option that you can specify in the L&K Superb. But alas, no. It just has a few of the options that you can get on the Elegance, some blingy wheels and a shed-load of "Laurin & Klement" badges all over it. So I've gone for the more subtle Elegance model and ticked just about all the options.

Oh well, so no MB Club Range Rover sub-group meet in Gerrards Cross Waitrose with you then. We can look down on you in the Tesco car park.

Happy to hire an Evoque to earn my entry to the select gathering. :) Or I could just raid Halfords and spell out RANGE ROVER across the Yeti's tailgate.

A hire car sounds insufficiently committed, but I shall consult my Yorkshire friend. Mind you, given how quickly he moves between cars, you might say that his is pretty much the same as a hire car...

How about the forthcoming A class based GLA as this article describes Mercedes GLA crossover (2015) spy shots | Secret New Cars | Car Magazine Online and this artists impression depicts:-
Personally found the low roofline too claustrophobic and rear visibility for a "town car" terrible. Freelander much cheaper same underpinnings better all round visibility + no hairdresser image. Clincher for me was a land rover product with a space saver spare wheel! =:fail

Won't deny the car oozes style tho - if that's what floats your boat.:dk:

Well, professionally it had to be either an Evoque or an SLK.

The Lady what owns the salon down the road (haircuts listed after celebrity tans and sunbeds) runs a white Evoque with the plate T11NAJ.

Perhaps he's a mortician beautician?

Isn't it dreadful when Essex girls start to migrate west. You have my sympathy.

Want your roots touched up, dearie?

My head is fifty shades of grey.

My wife read the books and all I gained from her knowledge of the books was that she can recognise an Audi R8.

What colour did you choose for your Yeti Mocas? I've been considering an Elegance for the wife but can't decide on colour. I think I like the solid red with white roof, but the configuration tool doesn't show it in a large enough image. There are some subtle metallic colours, but I think the car would really need to be seen in the flesh to decide.

I wanted a dark, pure metallic grey, similar to MB's Tenorite, but it seems Skoda don't do this for the Yeti - the closest they could offer was Steel Grey, which was too pale for my liking, so I've instead gone for Black Magic pearlescent. Decided against having a contrasting roof.
