Any opinions (good or bad) on Porsche Cayennes?

Re fuel -

the 19 mpg on the c63 doesn't annoy me, its the physical act of stopping for petrol every 180 miles. I wish big V8 cars came with decent sized tanks - Porsche do a 100 litre tank option so hunt one of these out if possible.

Ok went to see it, lovely vehicle, thought I might miss the 150 or so horses but it was great.

Plus points;
Full Porsche Service history
Zenons
20" muti-spokes in black with Michelin pilot tyres
18" winter wheels with Vredstein tyres
Double black
20k miles
Leather pack
Heated seats/steering wheel
Sat nav/phone prep

Negatives;
No sun roof
No Air suspension
No Cruise control

I don't think I can live with the lack of cruise and air suspension, so a no go I think.
Thanks for all the input, Colin.

Don't worry about the lack of cruise this is a really easy mod, can be done officially by the dealer for a few hundred. Mine cost less than a hundred as I sourced a brand new control stalk for about £30 on ebay and my Porsche Mechanic fitted and coded for about £50.

Saying that, Porsche cruise control is very basic compared to Mercedes, I had speed limited cruise and Distronic in my last car and I really miss those.

I don't know much about the new ones, I know the old ones could suffer from issues with coolant pipes and driveshafts but other than that are quite reliable.
Handle very well for the size and good off road too.

I'm not saying there is anything wrong with the diesel its a quality bit of engineering but if you were buying a porsche why the hell would you buy a diesel, the fuel of satan and an oil gulping belching clatter, beyond me :dk:

Judging by new prices the V6 petrol is £4400 quids in over V6 diesel , whereas in V8 petrol is only a measly £1538 over V8 diesel
So statistically basic V6 petrol is one to go for - but Special Order only :dk: on Porsche website
