Various.
The 190 D I'm breaking has a wooden Personal steering wheel with rather nice mouldings for the hands to fit around. http://mbclub.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=25206

I've never heard of them & can't find much on the web, & nothing about wooden ones. Are they a known brand or ???

Take one tree, about 15 inches in diameter, hack three holes in it. An extra one in the middle. Chuck some varnish over it. Scribble something in the center and sell :D

Sorry not ment to be offensive but I just dont like how it looks (am I too blunt?)

Just shows what you lot know! This was posted on another forum. Apparently, I now own a piece of Motoring History. I'm trying to find out the missing name.

"Personal used to make all the wheels for Formula 1! I think it was also on the one died in. I'd been looking around and had come to the conclusion they had gone out of business.

Wood's not to my taste but they are pretty cool, i'd prefer a new wheel by them rather than Momo or someone.

They could still be in business

I remember these being popular when I was a bit younger. I think you could get them in the Carnoisseur catalogues.

Personal, Nardi, Momo, were all the trendy names in modding back in the late 80s. Sorry don't know anything after that other than they were well respected at the time.

Judging from the picture though tastes have moved on......

LOL. It's a bad picture and the wheel is upside down.

It actually looks OK in the wood, right side up. I've removed it from the car. I know someone will be gagging for it(!) Might ebay it.
