Anyone seen any good number plates on cars lately?

Beautiful black Lamborghini in Preston. Don't know what model as according to AskMid, tax etc. it does not exist

(I mistakenly entered F8 BLK at first and it said make was BASSISTINIS - what is that?)

Almost certain it said Lamborghini - everything was black including the badge!

That's a McLaren - you can see the silver McLaren badge just above the grille, of which the grille I refer to is itself is in between the four exhaust pipes.

It's my age you know! It sounded thunderous - what model is it?

Wonder if the number plate has only just been swapped which is why it does not show anywhere? Lot of nice cars around Preston today - with it being Eid a lot of guys are out "showing the metal" Amaris is just over the back from me so it's not unusual to see some VERY fancy cars around here.

Looks like a later modded MP4-12C.com/rollsoffthetongue to me.

No idea on the name. Looks to be BATTISTINIS so some Italian vehicle of some description maybe...

EDIT: Looks to be a motorcycle maker:

Motorcycle maker Battistinis shuts shop to go online

Yes it looks like an MP4-12C to these old eyes. Great cars. It became the 650S and is the basis for the much lauded 675LT.

I've never liked McLarens much since the F1 but I've found I have started warming to them in recent years - they look amazing.

I doubt I will ever be able to afford one or comfortably fit in one but I'll add it to the list which features the Maserati GT!

Didn't Maff have one of those? (he withdraw from the forum? Can't see his name now)

I quite fancy a 650S Spider, although the (cost) gap to 720S is closing all the time. I’ve not driven one yet but everything I have read and hear about the 720S is that it’s hypercar fast, but surprisingly comfortable with it.

I'd like to have a go in one but they are well out of my league in terms of running costs and purchase price!

Clarkson is fatter and taller than me (by 1") so if he can fit comfortably in one then there is a chance... on that score at least. 😁

I didn’t think Preston was that wealthy an area. I was there about 13 years ago to get our W202 serviced by a Mercedes specialist and every part of the place that I saw was a dump.

Bit like London - good areas and bad areas ;)

It's surprising just how nice some of it is. Not sure a supercar seller like Amaris would stay if there wasn't a market? A new Jag place just opened up and Porsche needed to double the size of their showroom

When I was looking at a 2013 550i, there was a trader up there in Preston selling one.

I didn't pursue in the end because of potential engine problems.

But the pictures taken of the car were in a very nice wide leafy road...
