Anyone seen any good number plates on cars lately?

Having recently spotted K1NKY and G 5POT, I can now add R4NDY on an SL to that collection

Slightly off piste. Does anyone know if you can put your private plate on retention & immediately assign another private plate on the car, or does it have to go back to the original plate then you assign the new plate.
This means they send you a new V5 with the original number then another V5 when you assign the second private plate.
Reason I'm asking, cops here are hot on misplaced letters, so, I got stopped, reported to DVLA, who said plate will be withdrawn if I'm stopped again. Plate now as it should be but looks s##e, so planning to assign another legal private plate & sell the present one. Already had a good offer on it from a number plate company, but don't really want the bother of putting on original plate then a few weeks later changing it again to the new plate & phoning the insurance company twice

You’ll need to wait or v5 doc ref numbers won’t match when you try to assign.

Hmm......that plate does not exist according to the DVLA....they did not use Z on UK plates until 2001 on a 51 regs AFAIK.

I think you'll find they did for 'special' customers like the ambassador for New Zealand ;-)

It’s an odd one because this is the Italian Embassy car.
