Just seen in Chichester a 3 series BMW with "BRA 34D" number plate. Nice girl driving too, shame I couldnt see if the plate was accurate !

Castrol GTX celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, so one might expect to see that plate used in various promotional activities.

Burmah-Castrol (now owned by BP) also have GTX 1K, GTX 2K, GTX 3K, 11 GTX and XL 30.
Will scan the car park next week - see how many I can find.:o:D

I know who owns that he lives in Moseley. He paid 44k for that back in the 90s

That's actually on a white SLK, which I see buzzing around every now and then. The plate belongs to industrial paint manufacturer Trimite Ltd, who are based in Uxbridge and also own MB 2, MB 6, 1 T, 1 CAR, MH 3 and OAO 1.

Bygraves reportedly declined several offers from Mercedes-Benz UK for his plate over the years, but after he eventually relinquished it a few years ago it was snapped up by a lottery winner for his wife.

Isn't 1T (photed many times) a Birmingham based car?

Trimite have regional offices in Birmingham, Bristol and Runcorn, so I guess it moves about a bit.

1 BMW=BWM GB car

And they also have 5 BMW, 100 BMW, BMW 518 and 518 BMW. Probably many others, too, as in common with other UK car companies, they tend to buy cheap, dateless plates to use in advertisements.

CC 1 has previously belonged to the late financier Sir Charles Clore (who also had CC 9, and at various times owned the Jowett car company and Selfridges); London-based Princes Investments Ltd, of which Clore had been a director; and a guy in Cumbria. 1 CC was sold at a DVLA auction in January 1994 for £34,000.
