POW 8R on a white Porsche turbo convertible on Friday.
Anyone seen any good number plates on cars lately?

Saw a gorgeous black MB that I didn't recognise tonight at the junction of Blackpool Rd and the M6 in Preston. Reg was 1 YB
Back end looked quite different (no badges), the rear MB star was not silver but dark and whilst I don't normally like dark wheels, these were lovely! 2 pics follow (taken while at the traffic lights for the benefit of the H-T-T crowd
) Anybody care to enlighten me as to the model

Seen that one before, it's a great plate. I thought it was a Corolla too, think it's actually an Auris (replacement for the Corolla).

Sounded fantastic
Saw a really dodgy one yesterday - think it was BR53 NAL on a Korean hatchback thing with two or three bolts under the B to make it look like AR53 NAL, had Aresenal logos on the plate too (instead of the GB markings).
Honestly people with doctored plates like that should loose them straight away. I'd say such cars should be seized!
I know that the DVLA has the power to revoke licence plates in this type of circumstance I just wonder how it works.
I see an opportunity for a people power website to report such 'crimes' to the authorities!

Coming back from Olly's on Tuesday I saw a BMW Z4 with a plate UG O5 LOW altered to U GO SLOW, and a new S class with D3 TAN, which I assumed wasn't our Tan as he has an E class.
