I thought the KO bit was inappropriate for a funeral limo ...

friend of mine has rob131y on his Bentley, was on his Merc and before that on his Ferrari, don't it make yer *****, anyone remember Les Leston, well i think his plate was Dad 10, a lady just round the corner from me has b1 lly on her Merc

My first car was a 1958 dark grey Ford Anglia with the number 902 MPH ... when I was 17

I tried to trace it a few years later when I understood the value of such numbers but alas it eneded its days in the crusher ... it was 17 years old when I got it !

Yes it is a valid number with 3 letters before the first number like mine AJM224A

I live just outside Prestbury in Cheshire which seems to be the mother of all private plate venues and amongst the hundreds that we see every day some of the standouts recently are

11FO (UFO) on a Bentley coupe (used to be on an SL600)

AUD 1 on and Audi (suprisingly)

5NOB on an SL500

5NUB on an XK8

VW1 (or 1VW) on a VW Phaeton

L11PPO (LUPO) on a VW Lupo

RR1 (on one of those horendous new Rollers! this in fact was a German plate where im led to believe dont have private style plates!)

PO10 on a Bentley

OO 00 OOO on an ML Merc (I did a double take on that one!)

I saw a Brabus ML with a plate that spelt BRABUS somehow (cant quite remember how!)

111T on a BMW X5

FAC5 on a Golf (this is only significant if you remember the Factory records label)

going back a few years I used to drive my bosses Bentley and that had LUN1E on it. He also had a Jag XJS with 123OFF on that.He also bought Paul Daniels Bentley and had to take the MAG1C plate off that!

Someone mentioned M1NGE and that was on a white M3 in Manchester a few years back

I knew a guy that had WOW1 on his Countach (think he had WOW2 and 3 too!)

Oh.. and today I saw a fit bird driving an X3 with the plate S11UTY
