Bad experience at hand car wash place

I have never had a problem. In Weybridge i use the one near Charlton by the golf course, and when i go to London if i use the A3 i use the one at end of West Hill bothe excellent.

I too used to be of the opinion that nobody washes my cars except me, and when I was young I actually enjoyed it!! However, nowadays time is more precious than money, so I'd rather pay someone I trust to do it for me.

I'm still very particular - I only trust one valet firm, with whom I've built up a good relationship. However I sometimes feel frustrated that they don't do quite such a good job as I would - but to be fair it would be unrealistic to expect them too. More than good enough though.

I was there at the weekend, and noticed that they had a newspaper cut out on the wall. Seems they got some famous footballers (their customers) down to wash cars for Children in Need - I think I'd have thrown some money in the bucket and asked for one of the regular valets to do it for me though!! ;D

Not much use to the London guys, but I can recommend http://www.h20carvaleting.com in Birmingham - Mailbox and Bullring, with Solihill opening soon.

If you knew that then what were you thinking of going there!!!

Sounds like they have about 20 employees - I've heard about these kind of places - half a dozen people spend 30 mins valeting cars for £10. You can imagine how much the workers get paid. They're probably fronts for organised crime.

I went there because I expected them to stick to their side of the agreement that they would wash/dry for £12 then all should be fine - it was not a social visit! Funny how eight/nine people were drying a Focus at the same time and when the Sprinter needed drying there were no other vehicle there and they did not want to know or bother drying it.

Like I said I shall never use this particular place or any other hand wash places for my Sprinter again. Cars I always do myself and I rather struggle using buckets to wash the Sprinter next time now as hose pipe ban is still in place

Just remember that these places are often a front used to launder millions of pounds in cash from the proceeds of/to fund organised crime.

The staff will all be paid cash-in-hand (no taxes paid), the business is run without accounts, their only costs are heating/lighting/water/sponges etc and ALL their income is wedges of notes or sacks and sacks of coins (allegedly from car washing but probably from protection money or other extortion!).

AVOID! :)

Shude - Someone has been watching Bravo on Sky!!!
