hi all,

im noticing in my W210 e320 im getting real bad condensation constantly!!

im worried in this cold weather aswell it will even start freezing over.

why is this and can it be sorted???

also...

i have noticed when using my heaters, im only getting my central dash heaters to work, neither the footwell, the windscreen heater or the dash heaters on the far left and right are not working?

why would this be??

dan.

Sounds like water coming in through pollen filter, I've just sorted mine. It's generally caused by the drain becoming blocked with all sorts of gunge IME :(

Not too sure on the heating, I gather it has climate control?

Suggest you check all the carpets, under the back seat,& in the boot for water, you could find a lot of it !

As above, take a look in the passenger footwell 1st, under all the carpets.

Is one side of the car getting steamed up more than the other?

My boot was getitng a small amount of water in earlier this year and it was enough to cause all sorts of bother with condensation etc, leaky towbar bracket fixed and problem went away.

cheers for the replies guys!!:thumb:

ill go have a good feel of the carpets later when i go out and see what i can find, the condensation doesnt seem to be on any particular side, im unsure if its just the weather at the mo or not????

ill try get a new pollen filter sorted to try sort the heaters! where is the pollen filter on a W210????
is it easy to change??

no one have any ideas to the reason as to why only one set of heater vents are giving me heat out???
could the other ducts have come loose or be blocked somewhere???

dan

you will get condensation at this time of year... however if its a lot then its likely you have a leak.

If its climate try agoogle for eclassbenz.com theres a good section for the climate etc.

The pollen filters are accessed by removing the glove box then opening the covers . Have you the AC on , this should help keep out the condension

i have this issue as well...I thought it may have been seals that have gone bad but il check the pollen filter too.

Not sure where the AC evaporator is in your car, but this can be a cause - water sitting in the evaporator causes the condensation. Not a problem at all really.

its the last of my worries at the mo really but does anyone have any ideas as to why im only getting heat or any air for that matter out of my dash vents????
since having the car my feet have been freezing as i cant get the footwell vents to work, what could cause this????

Only if you have climate control. If it is regular AC then its under the passenger foowell..

I have condensation...then I checked the drivers side mat and it was almost saturated, probably from me getting in and out with lots of snow attached to boots......have now dried the mat and the condensation problem seems to be going away.

Almost certainly a blocked pollen filter.
It's a ten minute job to remove for you to test, and you COULD leave it out until you get a replacement.
Not too much pollen around at this time of year.
