BBC urged to sack Jeremy Clarkson after he admits driving at 186mph on public road

he does not work for the BBC. he is self employed and he has been known to take the mic especially to reporters.
He was just being sarcastic

There is also no way he was doing over 100mph in the Limehouse link !

What utter rubbish: depending on the source he said:

"I got a great speeding ticket. I think it was 186 in the Limehouse Link. Well, somebody did. Obviously it might not have been me."

"I haven’t been pulled over for speed for 20 years and I have never been pulled over for speed while working on Top Gear. I dont drive very fast!"

The people now braying for the BBC to "sack" JC are Brake, having been wound up by hacks.

Clarkson is a journalist and we all know how we can rely on their honesty. If he says he was doing 186mph then he was doing 186mph:devil:   :D

I couldn't do it even at 40mph with all that traffic and there are at least 12 speed cameras starting at Westminster to Dagenham on A13. I think he was just boasting and out of his mind when he was giving the interview.

Some kind of Safety Numpty said:
Speed is responsible for around 900 road deaths and 33,000 injuries each year

NO! NO! NO!
Speed in the wrong conditions, not speed itself!
When will these people learn!

Darren

I've always held the strong belief it's the sudden stop that causes the injuries...

of course it's just possible that Mr Clarkson is taking the p*** out of journalists but I do think he has a few memory problems - didn't he get a ticket in France when driving the Ferrari 612 in the race to Verbier?

Andy

Speed doesn't kill, its hitting something at speed that causes the problem.

I guess they could check the video tape for evidence of the fact, as this was shown on BBC2. Can he be done this long after the event?

It's likely the "Public Road" was an unlimited Autobahn in Germany and He's been purposely obtuse so He can make the journalist look like an ass when it's published.

If you need to prove you've got it you probably never had it in the first place.

Dont forget thet JC has a home on the IOM and there are NO speed limits there...so it quite possible ( but also unlikely ) that he could have reached 186 in his GT 40 which he kept garaged there....its also more likely it a windup:devil:
