Anyone know if Renntech have an office here in the UK? Their chip ups the speed limiter to 186mph.

Don't mind about timing - I'll go with the majority.

Would be interested in a timed run 0-60 and 0-100 then 0-151 ???

See how they really compare to those petrol versions. :D :D

Will bring my camcorder and window mount too, for anyone to use.

The time I would love to compare as well as those Brian states are something like 50-100mph, through the gears or just in top.

Probably not possible on our day, but a more interesting comparison of performance, especially for a heavier (slow from a dead start) car.

Hope I am not being greedy!

Are spectators welcome ? I'm not sure I'm too bothered about the timing events etc, and will be doing plenty of high speed driving when we go to Germany, but wouldn't mind coming along to watch !

Insurance

Has anyone done this before and got insurance? What sort of cost is involved? I guess we should be covered 3rd party at least and have any passengers covered.

If someone can give me some advice on this I would love to attend, with a passenger.

'Just in top'? How does that work then? Surely all cars just kick down to a lower gear when you floor it??? :D :p

Wouldn't mind turning up as a spectator myself (me and Sym could sit on the sidelines and discuss BMWs) - not sure about taking to the track and being reminded on here of my humiliation for ever after!! :o

As far as I know spectators are welcome, however I imagine that they will be limited to the pit area of the track only.

As to insurance, the other track days I have done in the Nissan we have not bothered with insurance.
I have heard of companies offering track day insurance at ~£150/day, but can't recall who they were.

I won’t be going fast round the bends, only on the wide straights, so I will be keeping clear of everyone else!

I wouldnt bother with insurance on a track like this - where you could just slide on the grass until you stop.

I rang around for the Nurburgring before I last went and it was huge money - obviously the risk profile for Bruntingthorpe is a lot less.

Check the info over at http://www.easytrack.co.uk/homepage.asp
