C350e anyone considering one?

They've not actually stated what the grant will be for the different categories yet. That's the bit we're waiting on.

Order update

Notified today middle of December estimated delivery date. Order date was 13/5/15.

Let's see how many times that moves.

you might need to give us more details, it is on a thread about new C350e cars which will confuse everyone. Presumably this is a used car you have bought outwith MB , hence no warranty? what gearbox, is it 7g tronic or.....??

you need someone with a STAR diagnostic to tell you what is wrong, might just need a reset, but that's the first port of call...

in fact....who you need is MBS Southampton, less than an hour from you and really switched on guys - give Cole a call on 02380 445820 and he will advise, if he can't then no-one can, seriously!

Much the same for me, 14/12 estimated delivery date and I ordered around 9/5. I've just received the grant application/questionnaire to fill in.

So called NHS Fleet Solutions today. Price lock confirmed from lease company so new prices won't apply to my order. December or thereabouts is fine as I have a car to sell and will be virtually paid for by then. Even better if actually slips by a mont. Can't believe I'm saying that have to be careful for what you wish for :D

Fields - what was the document you filled in - was it a Merc document or a government one. I have a confirmed MB order and it has the £ 5k Grant deducted but I have filled nothing in and have been told I have nothing to do with the grant as MB claims the money back not me. Is it different for lease cars ?

Getting worried I may lose £ 5k due to a lack of a bit of paper. My car is currently scheduled for UK delivery late August.

It was a government one. Most of it could be filled in by the dealership I think, but it required my signature. Perhaps the dealership applies instead of the individual, for private buyers?

My lease company sent me a form to complete and return and what looked like a quiz!!

Not sure how to post a link to the pdf I have but it's full of questions such as this:

Business/Demonstrator Declaration and Purchase Survey Form
It is a requirement of the Plug-in Grant contract that all customers complete this form.
Dealerships are able to complete the forms on behalf of their customers but all customers
must be asked the questions. If the car is financed or leased the finance or leasing
company must fill in the form to the best of their ability if they are unable to ask the end
user for the information.
CUSTOMER DECLARATION

explained that the range may vary due to factors such as driving in cold weather,
driving up hills, using "eco-driv

safely, and [for vehicles charged with electr
icity] explained how to avoid any

Sorry but that is simply not true. The old rules apply until the 50,000 grants have been used up. They haven't been. All C350e versions currently qualify. Lease companies have increased rates / pulled rates because of the delivery timescale for the C350e has reached the OLEV acceptable limit, nine months. MB can't therefore confirm that cars will qualify for the grant when delivered. The grant allocated to the vehicle at point of order would be foregone if delivered after nine months.

I think you'll find that the criteria for the Grant has recently changed and all C350e's with 18" wheels no longer qualify due to 1 mile. For vehicles over 50g/km to be eligible they have to be capable of 20 miles on electric and the C350e has been approved at 19 miles - hence the lease companies pulling their original rates.

Quonker. Many thanks for taking the time to provide that. I am relieved as it looks to be a form that is just meant to be informative rather than anything to do with the grant. Thanks again.

I have an order made in the April for the estate prem plus with the 18" wheels too but the lease company has forgotten to add the wheels to the order. I contacted them yesterday and they said there was a problem as it doesnt now qualify for the grant. they contacted the supplying dealer who confirmed that the order does still qualify so all is still good for existing orders with the larger wheels, but not any new ones, maybe due to the excessive delivery times now.
