C350e anyone considering one?

Well,...

My March order which was due at the start of September has now been pushed back a further 85 days to start of December.

Reason, Factory issues.

Not impressed.

One part of me is now thinking if i should just cancel it and go back to square one ? :dk:

Yeah.. dont get my wrong the C-class is a nice car, but its not 9 month wait good if you know what i mean.....
I don't need mine untill may 2016 and lease company have told me 10 mouth wait so ordering in August but don't want it to be waiting more ..the hole grant and Mercedes options thing has has got me mad tho ,,nearly dumped the C350e for a BMW but could not fine any thing with every thing the C350e had ,, I am sure when and if we get them we will be happy with the car and the wait will be worthwhile

Perhaps the C350e deal on offer was too good to be true! Too much car for too little cash being promised by MB just to grab the grants and steal a march on their rivals when in fact the car isn't really ready for a UK volume launch at all this year.

I'm sure those that get their C350e 'eventually' will be really pleased with them.

Sad news, my order for the C350e is being pulled by NHS Fleet as apparently the price of the C350e has changed dramatically and the leasing costs have jumped by £70 per month , not massive I know but significant in percentage terms. I could reorder with the long lead times if I'm prepared to pay the higher costs, for me it just makes it more expensive then other options, £120 per month more than Golf GTE for instance, I know the C Class is a different car to the Golf, but not enough to warrant nearly £4500 over 3 years. Disappointed. D.

Price lock my a** that's just wrong ,,I feel your pain ,,,the golf is a great car , we had a new one for 3 years loved it ,only thing I did not like is the interior it's just a bit boring , I looked at other cars too as got feed up with Mercedes but it's hard to match the C350e with power ect ,what price did you have with fleet ?

I'm thinking when then new A4 etron is launched in the new few weeks it also might cause a few others to take stock.

This IS the problem i think, the pricing was too low (if im honest)

For me, 14k miles, WAS £306 for C350e prem plus Brilliant Blue, but now £380
Golf GTE 14k miles is under £250

BMW i3 is a good car... but I just cant gel with the shape
A3 etron I dont like styling, just boring
Outlander PHEV, decent car, im not a jeep person but.
Leaf.... again dont like the styling

Looks like the Golf is the next best option for me..... but so disappointed as I was REALLY looking forward to the C Class.

Same here... I am also in two minds to swap my order now

Don't shoot me down but the new skoda superb looks a nice car!

No idea?? :dk:

I'd expect slight variances with tax code and salary etc.., Right now if I quote the C350e again its £376 for me, but it was originally £306, which was a no brainer !

The Golf GTE is on special offer on NHSFleet at moment for delivery next month and lower costs for 2 year lease..... that is VERY tempting, can't change the spec however, only Black and White available and not Nav edition, but around £220 !!

Shmern. I think the increase may be the lease companies ignoring the £ 5k grant. If they are working on a RV of say 50% over 36 months then 50% of the grant works out at £ 70 / month

2 year does that mean its been sent back after a year then ? Or did they just bought to many ..there is a deal on BMW 3 series too

I received second email last night from NHS Fleet repeating estimated delivery time of mid December. My price is £318 ordered on 13/5.

C350e

Ordered one on the company scheme on the 25th March and I am told delivery will be late August. Went for the saloon Sport Premium Plus with 18" Twin Spoke wheels, CC with Speedtronix variable, Designo metallic, Heads up display, intelligent LEDHeadlights, surround cameras and Black leather - in other words all the extras. Never driven one but couldnt argue with the tax benefits Vs Spec Vs performance - Fingers crossed they got it right
