C350e anyone considering one?

Well only a few day to go untill I can order my C350e estate so I have been playing with options ...but I can not get my head round this if I add Intelligent LED headlights at £545.00 it brings my monthly payment from NHS fleet solutions down by about £3 a mouth  ..I think it is a must add on then lol ..I still can not decide on Brilliant blue or Obsidian black ??? And can not find a pic of the blue and black togetter ,any one help :thumb:

I have found as some options add to the resale price to the car, some options reduce the monthly cost... i didnt find any on the merc, but met colours, sat nav reduces on Octy's VRS etc..

Get Blue and be different. Get Black and blend in.

ILS a must!

I went for brilliant blue and black leather, still wondering if black was the best colour for the leather though but not going to risk changing it.

I think it's an excellent choice.

I dithered over the paint and interior - dealer said you must have a contrast. I have a CLS with black leather interior and it really is gloomy. My highest priority was therefore to go for a grey interior in the C350e and that then restricted me on the paint. Really like the Diamond Silver on my CLS but was a no no with the grey and I think the C Class looks a bit small in it - so bit the bullet and went with Funeral Director Obsidian. I spent a long time in the Middle East and there was nothing but white cars there at the time so that definitely wasn't an option - my wife thinks even white Lexus's are mini cabs.

I'm sure with a sunroof the black interior will be great. I had an AMG demo and it had red leather and that suited the car - Shame you can't get it in a Sport. I was such a pain dithering over the colours the dealer said - put up or shut up !

I think black looks good on a new car, it is only when it gets older it looks far more tired than some of the lighter colours.

I think with lighter colours you tend to keep on top off cleaning it 'properly' where as black hides it all until it is too late.

Having said all that, if I was ordering new black would be my last choice.

For me C350e is a no brainer as a company car due to BiK and the amazing lease price through my company. I can order me new car at the end of this month, however checking the system (Leaseplan), I'm being told no new orders are being taken due to Mercedes production problems.

A bit peeved as I was really hoping this would be available :(

I should of mentioned why this is such a good deal.

C350e 4DR 2.0 SPORT PREM+, £401.12/month for the lease and £68.35/month tax.

I'd be saving £300 per compared to an equivalent C220D !!

Nice one... End of May... Holy *^%#

OK, so I've switched to the Dark Ash trim from the black & alu. Partly because I just think the analogue clock just looks so classy.

Cant wait for it to arrive.

Watch out with the 10 month lead time, that's outside OLEV's allowed order timeframe for the grant money. They'll only ring fence the money if delivered within 9 months- I checked this with OLEV directly.
If it exceeds 9 months they'd need to reapply for grant money, and the grant could have changed by then.

This from OLEV:
"The only way the grant amount would not be honoured is if the vehicle takes longer than 9 months to be delivered, as a 9 month limit is in place. The order would then need to be re-entered onto the portal, by which point the grant amounts may have changed. "

Of course, the grant could be the same. Nobody knows, yet. On a lease, even a £1000 reduction to the grant would be quite a price shift unless it's a long lease. You'd also likely need to get updated pricing at the time, though you'd need to check with your leasing company.
Not wishing to wet your bonfire at all, just be aware! The only facts we know are, 10 months is too long to guarantee the £5k grant.

Taking into account mine was ordered mid to late March.. and due at the start of December... does this apply to orders already in the system i wonder before x date i wonder?

Across the board as I understand it. Best hope it comes through on the early side of December!
That said, should the grant need to be re-keyed, you'd probably be OK this year. Probably.

You will be fine for December. The grant has been extended now, so don't worry
