I’ve ordered a C350e Saloon Premium Plus in Tenorite Grey with the intelligent LED headlight system.

Originally ordered an estate on March 5th.
But changed it a couple of weeks later once I’d clocked the BIK increase.

Estimated Stock Date is currently 21st October.

Excellent choice, now just enjoy the wait. Both an exciting and excruciating time together which you will look back on with fond memories I'm sure

There's no special campaign as such in the NHS. The cars are not subsidised by the NHS. NHS lease car solutions just manage it between the employee and the lease car company. Occasionally NHS Lease Cars negotiate a bit of an offer with manufacturers and provide a bit of a discount, Golf GTD, R or GTE with standard spec amongst others, limited choice of colours, with quick delivery.

The 350e isn't a deal as such, you can search and price up pretty much any car you want if you are prepared to pay for it. The 350e comes up on the websites search engine as a reasonable option when deciding what you want, works out a good price for a lot of car.

We have a few Golf GTD's knocking about and one R that I'm aware of. No Mercs as such, as I think they are usually considered to be out of people's price range. I worked through all the hybrid cars I could think of, until I came across the 350e and then played with the model and options then ordered accordingly.

Hi. New to the forum. Placed an order a few months ago for Estate with Premium Plus. I have a question that nobody at a dealers could answer. What height is lost in the boot of the estate due to batteries compared with a non hybrid C-class estate.

Looking at those boot pictures and having seen of course the saloon boot, I really can't understand why such a big deal about the loss of space. IMO of course.

Thanks for the pics. I have seen some on internet but have not been able to get the actual height value. I need to know the lowest height available (from raised floor to lowest area of roof lining etc. I have a match fishing box with platform so want to verify it will go in.

On a different note I had a great time with Mazda on the weekend at an MX-5 launch event, nice to see that some other car companies are good with their customer service!

Sooo tempted to email the dealer to see if it's being assembled as we speak but decided to wait to later in the week.

The installers of my home charge point are saying that they need documentation including an invoice which my dealer is saying can only be produced when they have a VIN number so good excuse to ring later in the week.

I'm going by the production date originally quoted by the dealer:

My dealer told me on Friday last that he would contact Mercedes to obtain my VIN in order to allow me to get a retention certificate for my plates.

Finally got to testdrive the C350e. Unfortunately only A 15 min drive while waiting for my other car to get serviced. They had received it saturday and I was the first customer to try it. Only had 12% battery capacity on it so it quickly turned to petrol. Most surprising was the fact that I did not notice the engine turn on as the transition was extremely smooth. First impression: WOW!!!! First thought: I WANT MY CAR!! I almost wish I hadn't tried it because now the wait is going to be just sooo long and painful...

I've had a Brilliant Blue C350e Estate on order since 20 Aug, so not that long, and was quoted a 16 week minimum lead time. Lease company been talking to my HR Dept and have said they can "significantly reduce" the lead time if I will accept a Obsidian Black car with 4m charging leads and not the 8m leads I ordered. I'll post more info when it comes, but I suspect Wivenhoe is correct about people cancelling.

Did it feel quick then even with no battery ?

Yes it did. Tried to kick-down a couple of times, just to get a feel, and acceleration was good. It is difficult to relly get a feel for it on such a short trip, I only had it on a Motorway for about 1 mile, so it was mostly rural area driving. Not sure how much the el-engine contributed, but at 11-13% it did not take much for the engine to kick in when i pushed the accelerator. Also it behaved very well in the rounabouts I passed. tried to purposely keep some speed into and accelerate out of them, and the car behaved very well. Would like to try some more in Sports mode, but it felt tight enough in Hybrid ode also. Suspension was also very good..

My saloon is being delivered to the dealers tomorrow with me collecting Friday. I hope the long wait is worth it - I am looking forward to see how the Distronic Plus with Steering Assist and Stop&Go Pilot copes with the slowly moving car park known as the M25 ! I went overboard with the options as I really didn't want to lose my CLS, so having the latest toys helped :-
