Happy Christmas :)

Strange to me that the model I've ordered (250d AMG Line) is not listed there under the "New Mercedes-Benz Model Nomenclature" on page 5.

It lists all the other engines. Hope they haven't dropped the 250d :dk:

Ant.

The doc just shows one example per fuel type plus the C63. so no need to worry.

So - one diesel, one diesel hybrid, one petrol, one petrol hybrid and the C63

If they are bringing forward delivery dates it must because people are cancelling !!!
Or they have pulled there finger out :thumb:.nhs trust messed my order up ,so new order gone in ,but still get it when I want it in may as waiting time have gone down ...what a pain in the ass this car has been it had better be worth it

No, it's not been dropped. Look at the brochure on the MB website. There's a new 250d sat in front of me right now :D

Fuel for C350e

The Connect Me details for the car says that the fuel for the car is "Super". Does this mean that the C350e should only run on premium 4* petrol or does "Super" mean something else ?

Great stuff!!

I really do not understand why mine is taking so long compared to others.

I ordered in late March, currently due mid Dec Build date, plus delivery so really it will be next year.

Question - HAS ANYONE else ordered a towbar??? - wonder if this is the blocker ?

Funny you mentioned that. When I tried the car on Monday, the dealer said he was delivering the first C350e that same day. I looked at him and asked why I am not getting mine first, and he said the car did not have a towbar and that was what was causing some dalys on mine...
I didn't think much more off it, because I've been told before that delays were caused by issues with delivery of batteries, so figured it was just another lame excuse. Maybe he was telling the truth anyway??

Maybe, as the trend in diff im seeing with others (taking into account i ordered March) is people ordering after me via lease companies, (some the same company) without a tow bar are getting theirs a lot quicker than me forecast mid Dec build delivery when ever.

I ordered my C350e saloon, Premium Plus, solid white with TOW BAR, late March, early May through a lease company. I was given a January estimate.. I was also concerned at everyone else's apparent better lead times. Maybe the tow bar is the factor. I have just been given an improved delivery date of, to dealer end of November, to me first week of December.

...I meant late March / early April...

Picked mine up today and took the partner out tonight on the dark roads of the Peak District. Don't regret getting rid of the BMW for a minute. The quality is leagues apart in terms of refinement and ride comfort. Even is sports plus the damping is so much better than the BMW.

Messing about I got 47mpg on 180 miles today. I've been giving it a bit of welly mind!

The torque from 4000rpm at 70mph is insane. It pulls and pulls and pulls!

The ILS headlights are a must tick option if you can stretch to it too!

Congrats and nice little summary. Appetite is wetted.

It's not that we are desperate but any chance of a picture or maybe a wee test video? :D:D

Did the wife enjoy the torque as well :)

I'm waiting for my SLK to be collected today, is it just me that feels quite sad to see their old car depart? We've been to so many places together...!

Anyway, still no news on my C350e, it was due to be with me tomorrow, the 18th (and the SLK return date arranged around it), but as it stands I have no VIN, no actual delivery date and generally no clue what's going on with it any more. The SLK is my only car so I'm reliant on walking/trains/Uber from today unless Mercedes Customer Service can sort me out with a loan car - they're "doing some further research" at the moment to see what they can do.

Mercedes really need to up their game with order tracking and communication, some of the other brands have much better systems for this.

has it gone now then? Merc sort you out with a loan car or are you Shanks's pony?

Just been picked up in the last 15 mins. Officially car-less.

Customer Service called about an hour ago with no actual update, but assured me they've not forgotten about me, but yes, walking/trains/taxis from now on by the looks of it. Plus I'll lose this years no claims bonus as I'll have to cancel my current policy and start a new one which is another hassle.

I think this C350e will probably be my last Mercedes unless Customer Services pull their finger out pretty sharpish.

:fail

Sorry to hear of your woes, awful service.

Hope they can shed light quickly.

My dealer just rang me with good news regarding my vehicle and apparently this was because there was a regional manager from MB direct discussing registration targets, not sure if it's possible to get your dealer to give you their MB manager?

I'm blown away that so many orders are being chased up. How have MB got it so wrong for the C Class.

Wondering if there are any other models currently with same delivery delays.
