C350e anyone considering one?

More photos please... Running out of google images of UK spec cars. Love the twin exhaust versus chrome trim on lesser models. Makes the backend look a bit more beefy if that makes sense

Blue saloon with privacy and premium pack due allegedly early December. Fingers crossed.

Given the increasing non-appearance of my Zoe, I had a look round one of these at the weekend to explore other options. Very impressive indeed, but the PCP figures seem very high. I'm not sure the salesman (who annoyed the hell out of me so won't get my business regardless) has got the sums right and I have a feeling he's left out the 5k grant - which I had to tell him about in the first place.

The example figures for a C350e Premium Plus 4dr with metallic paint, 4yr PCP over 4years with £5k down (not including the govt grant) are coming out at £500pm. Seems rather expensive compared to recent quotes on similar type/value vehicles.

that does seem a lot... £500 x 48 = £24k, plus £5k = £29k, plus insurance, tyres and extended warranty for the 4th year.

When first released, the offers where there some as cheap as £250pp with £2500 down for 2 years.... whether anyone got one at price is another matter... however, since there is such demand for them i think the prices have just gone up... i know my lease compnay charge £150 a month more now than when i ordered.

£500 seems a lot, mins cheaper than that fully maintained with insurance with no down payment

I accepted the spec change and the leasing company has just advised that the Obsidian Black 350e (no extras) will be available in the first week of October. Looking forward to it's arrival!

Just been told that my C350e Estate is being delivered on Friday 25/9. I'll upload some pics when it arrives.

Now that I've got the paperwork in front of me, he's definitely goofed. Supagard and GAP included despite telling him I wasn't interested, and no mention of the £5k govt grant either (which I had to tell him about in the first place)

Trying to convince me the final figure was correct and to ignore the figures above it that make up the quotation hasn't sat well either. Perhaps a missive to the dealer principal is in order.

There's rules about offering GAP- check online
Supaguard, yeah- they often shove it in by mistake(!)

On both those products the salesman will get a wedge, and be targeted on, so they're always pushing them. Typical dealership stuff, pathetic isn't it?

Well I have good news - the dealership called me today and my delivery date has moved from a vague middle of October...to arriving at the dealership on Thursday 24th. I should hopefully have it delivered to me for the 28th/29th!

Sounds like the tracking is all over the place but fingers crossed I'll actually have the car soon. I now have the VIN and registration number and it works on MercedesMe!

I have been reading this thread over the past couple of months and have ordered a C350e in white with Prem Plus and tinted windows. I am trying to decide whether to add the driver assistance pack as I have not yet had a confirmed build date.

What is the consensus - is it worth it?

Also I have been unable to get much sense from MB Customer Dis-Service about delivery times - I placed my order on 4th June and have not yet had any feedback except my dealer and MB saying there was no news but the car was on the system. How long are people generally waiting from placing an order to getting a build date?

I went through a dealer on a Business Lease so not sure if this is better?

What no gears!

I picked up my C350 on the 7th of Sept and by the next Tuesday it was at the garage with a gearbox failure. The car dash told me it was all going wrong and then the car started to slow down. I got to the hard shoulder and had no drive!. Pressed the start stop button to reset and then got some drive back in petrol only mode, the gears would not change up until revving quite hard and were very sluggish on the down change. Got it back to the dealer and they said they would have to refer back to Germany, Heard today that it was a module fault and that one would have to be coded and sent from MB Germany and then fitted. They have had the car longer than I have so far and they think I will get it back the end of this week! Not happy!! I believe that a crank sensor is also in need of a change! I get that Friday feeling!

I am not sure if this is a model specific part or a standard gear box valve block.

Driver 15 thanks - I am being told Q1 2016 so have had to extend the lease on a BMW until whenever it turns up - MB are saying it is being built in South Africa so it is 6 weeks shipping and it may be built early Jan as 'engines are critical'.

On this basis it will be around 9 months after I placed the order!!!

ok the 32 amp rolec charger was around £290.00 plus whatever the electrician charges you and it was Yess Electrical www.yess.co.uk under ev charging.
hope this helps
Dave

If you have ordered a C350e, its built in Germany... not SA.

The non hybrid cars are built in SA, (think estates maybe still in Germany, but will be going to SA very soon.)

Maybe your dealer contact have not done their training :thumb:

see below - https://mbnetworknews.co.uk/Portals...ttachment 1 - C 350 e Sport Product Guide.pdf

Enjoy!

Thanks - I will chase them up and ask why they think it is being built in SA - I had seen this before but must have missed this bit - might mean I get it a month earlier!

This is the first time I have had it - as long as it is the latest version including Steering Assist and Stop&Go. I wouldn't have another without it, the descriptions on the web don't do it justice in real life.

I would love to upload some pictures, it seems almost impossible on this forum!

Been told today my car is going into production on the 27th October, hopefully will be delivered 2-3 weeks after that.
