Just been told that my C350e Estate is being delivered on Friday 25/9. I'll upload some pics when it arrives.

Hail Caesar...

Look forward to the pictures.

Seeing as the calendar has something to do with your namesake on here any chance you can revise things a bit for me and bring the month of December forward a touch please?

Anyone who has one when you've fully charged it what does it say it has in total electric range? Mine says 14 miles. Is that correct?

It might be, I have no idea until I get my car :(

More importantly is the actual range under normal driving conditions before exhaustion that you are experiencing :)

Also goes on your driving style for the last x miles i am led to believe like the miles to empty info.

So if you hammer it expect it to be lower? only way to test i guess is charge it after a decent motorway cruise.

Almost exactly the same spec as mine, mine is black leather instead of beige though.

Mine was also put back to a date of 25th for production, the dealer has rung to say that he's been told that this should be the definate date and that MB are very keen to ship as many as possible to appear in the September figures.

Fingers crossed!

In the short time I had mine on the road I was very happy with it, the max range I have seen on electric only is 14 miles. I have just had an update and they hope the part will be in tomorrow. They say they will have to spend a day on it. Apparently Mercedes have asked for a lot of data off the vehicle and want more when it is fixed. It seems they are very interested in the fault and want to monitor it. I do not know if this is something new or it is something they have had a lot of on a global basis. The wheels are standard as far as I am aware, there were two choices on my order form I think I picked the darker of the two.

Found this home charger ,great price and can be up graded WallPod : EV ready 3pin UK Domestic socket - Ev One Stop
ev-ready-white-new.jpg

Thanks for that, very interesting.

£ 67.00–£ 157.00 inc. Vat:£ 80.40

WallPod : EV Ready is an entry level, future-proof, low-cost solution able to charge in mode 2 format (13amp domestic socket) catering for almost every electric vehicle currently on the market.
This unit has also been designed and prepared to be quickly and easily upgraded to full mode 3 charging as and when required using a One Stop upgrade kit.
This 13amp IP65 domestic socket complete with 16amp overload and 30mA fault current protection can also double up as the home’s outdoor maintenance socket.

My understanding is that the electrics get complicated if upgraded if the right cabling and consumer box isn't the appropriate model.
Why might I want to upgrade, the 13 amp socket connection is surely fine for today's 350e

But - if you are going for that as a solution and still use the UK household plug socket - you may as well just spend a tenner and get one of these ??

To be honest I think that might be the option I go for, they are waterproof and I could easily install it myself.
