C350e anyone considering one?

ILS Spread

Rubbish pic but wanted to try and show the awesome spread of light.

Should be a pic but hit my max upload!

Nice pics. Interesting that the seat controls remain orange so maybe it would seem the orange ambience is the better choice for consistency? Although blue and white will look sweet with a blue car and light grey interior!

Thanks for the pics. I didn't actually realise there was such a thing as max pic upload, boo!. I guess that could be why folk are not returning to show off their beauties! That and now have closure from the long wait. MORE PICS FOLKS, pretty please with sugar on top!!!

Congratulations!

Wow! Nice one :-) I'm a newbie here. Ordered mine in June- The Baumaster sheet that I received reads the delivery date in December. I haven't received any other paperwork or news about the 5K grant.
Would you be kind enough to tell me (us) about the procedure and that how it worked please?

Many thanks,

Mark

Dan 121975, what's the spec of your car? Your screen is quite different to mine....
Can you see external temp on any of your trip windows??

Saxon6 - I had the same thought. My trip looks like yours and not Dan's.

I am a little pi**ed off that only on the plug is is there no way to show the outside temperature. All other C Classes can show it and the American cars can show it permanently. I have no interest in the speed in kph but now winter is coming the outside temperature is of interest !

December delivery quoted!

I ordered 4th June and have not yet even had an acknowledgement from MB let alone a build date.

The order is definitely in but that is as much as my dealer or MB can tell me so at least you have a date even if it keeps going back.

I am being quietly pessimistic that I will get an e-mail soon bringing forward the delivery date from 1st quarter 2016 (could in theory be 31st March which would mean 10 months near as dammit):confused:

Hi Stuart, I ordered mine in June too. MB Dealer is hopeful for a delivery date of early December. Have you had any correspondence from your dealer with regards to the OLEV grant?

Thanks,

Mark

I'm with you on this, to have a 600Nm rear wheel drive car with no way of knowing when the temperature is hovering around freezing is poor at best. The car manual even states how important it is for the driver to pay special attention when the temperature is close to freezing, I don't need them to tell me that I just want a car that shows it! Every car I have owned since 1991 has shown the outside temp and for a good reason.
I'm waiting for MB to come back to me on this before I start throwing my toys out the pram!

Nope, no temp. And you are right, the screen is different which is strange because mine is a 2015 but my mates 2016 300h has the same screen as mine too!

Mine is Brilliant Blue, Grey Leather, Premium Plus with ILS and 18 inch wheels. It also has privacy glass and fine line dark brown wood.

It may depend on ownership. If your car will be subject to a lease agreement then I think the lease company may have a different arrangement with OLEV.
My understanding was that I was by completing the documents reserving the grant for a period of nine months.

Surely most car today don't have the temperature guage that you want. In its place there is a warning light, which briefly displays on my present car at start up, and in the event of the engine temperature reaching an unacceptable level the light will be seen in the message centre. It might also be that the car's performance will be restricted.

The issue here though is the outside air temp is not shown on the car.

Wonder if you get a ice warning sign... i like to know the outside temp.

Many thanks for the information :-)

I am a private and cash buyer- no lease or other binding programs. My local MB dealer is a JCT600 agent and the young fellow sales person is not a communicative one!
I guess I have to start digging into this issue now.

Cheers,

Mark.

You may discover that the sales people, particularly the person you have met, may not be aware of the grant because you may be the first PHEV customer in the branch.
I don't understand the connection with the JCT600, they are a lease company. However they do know all about the grant.

Ah, I understand :)
So perhaps there is a frost symbol that will display somewhere ?
Or maybe in the air conditioning temperature display.

Certainly my dealer emailed the relevant pdf to complete, it's a sort of survey as well.

I didn't need to do anything.

It's rather cool that the grant is something that the dealer implements, you effectively negotiate a price then take the £5k off that, the dealer claims it not you.

What a frustrating thing to hear... A £40k car without something so basic. hopefully Mercedes will fix this at the cars service. I wonder if the sensor is even on the car but just not hooked up to the hybrid software?

Anyhows photos of your beloved beauty would be most welcome as I've not seen many in Brilliant blue (except estates, mostly on Autotrader (yes it has got that bad).

Thanks!!'

Is anyone aware of a dealership in the London/Hertfordshire area who actually has one of these available for a test drive?

the outside temp is a big thing to know when the outside temp is below 7'c if running summer rubber.

looks like they have missed it, i would expect the hardware is there, just not in this software release.
