Interesting. I am still of the view, mentioned elsewhere , that procurement via a third party is often associated with longer delivery periods when compared with a direct transaction with an MB dealership. It's via a lease as a company car.
Company car, confirmed as ordered with MB mid June, build slot confirmed 4 weeks later, due at dealer late January. Plain White Estate, no options.

I understand that you will shortly take delivery of an electric vehicle but have no dedicated facility to make the overnight charge. From earlier correspondence, you are aware that in support of Central Government’s Plugged in Places grant initiative the Council installed 7 charging points in the town for general use. This was done in the context of Government policy for the development of electric vehicle infrastructure, which is currently founded on the notion that EV owners will carry out their main charge at home.* This of course assumes that the majority of owners will have off-street parking capability, which is not universally applicable. *The posts we have provided are subject to a waiting time of 3 hours because they were installed to provide short-term top-ups for EV drivers that needed that facility rather than being installed to provide longer charging times.
*
The Council is aware of the advice from the Office of Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) and the Guidance for local authorities on grants to provide residential on-street and rapid chargepoints for plug in vehicles. Notwithstanding the opportunities provided by Central Government through the grant, there are some potential impacts on the local authority which have to be taken into account. These include,
*
The grant fund covers only 75% of the capital costs of procuring and installing the chargepoint and associated dedicated parking bayRevenue and maintenance costs are not covered by the grantThe number of requests which could come forward and which meet the eligibility criteria is unknown which could place a significant financial commitment on the Council There are back office functions associated with administering the scheme. This will have an increased resource implication on staffing levelsProvision of chargepoints in residential areas has implications for on street parking, particularly in high density areas and controlled parking zones which has not been fully considered at this point
*
At the moment therefore, there are no immediate plans to sign up to the grant fund but please be assured that the Council will keep this matter under review
What a cop out ...I have not had any more back yetJust had a reply from my Council regarding my request for on street charging point.
No surprise there![]()
Not sure thats a realistic delivery date, based on my experience, I ordered in March 2015, and just on Monday my build date was the 12th Jan 2016 with the poss option it may slip further due to "factory delays".
End result would be delivery in Feb at the very earliest.
I'm not sure if there is any logic to it. A colleague at my company ordered a saloon after me in May and has been updated from October which was same as mine to December which is before my expected delivery date of January.Interesting. I am still of the view, mentioned elsewhere , that procurement via a third party is often associated with longer delivery periods when compared with a direct transaction with an MB dealership.
Guess what ?

How do you receive this blow by blow status update from Mercedes? I placed my car order in the first week of August and all I know is it is due sometime in December.
I have a C350e in stock that was going to be registered as a demo and it's now available.
It's a C350e Sport Premium Saloon in Brilliant Blue with black Artico

@ uumode
Have you placed the order directly with a Mercedes dealership or through a third party like a lease company ?
Added some extra photos here: My C350e - Album on Imgur Let me know if there's anything else you want to see!
I did a shorter run tonight into Windsor, starting with about 15% battery (i.e 0 mile range) and covering 15 miles all in all, the MPG figure came back as 50.4mpg. Not too bad
Also I remember someone asking about the lighting around the door handles. Good news, this option is still there - I had to enable it in the settings, but I have lighting under the wing mirrors and exterior door handles.
MaidenheadMerc. I take it you can't display the outside temperature either ? The manual clearly shows it in the 'total mileage trip' but on my car it keeps displaying the kph not outside temp.
