C350e anyone considering one?

@MaidenheadMerc
Thank you so much for a brilliant set of pictures of your brilliant blue car. Only pity is that you didn't choose the beige leather interior as mine should be when I pick it up next Tuesday :)

I love looking at the sunroof, can't wait to give mine a go :D

Added some extra photos here: My C350e - Album on Imgur Let me know if there's anything else you want to see!

I did a shorter run tonight into Windsor, starting with about 15% battery (i.e 0 mile range) and covering 15 miles all in all, the MPG figure came back as 50.4mpg. Not too bad :)

Also I remember someone asking about the lighting around the door handles. Good news, this option is still there - I had to enable it in the settings, but I have lighting under the wing mirrors and exterior door handles.

Great pictures thanks.

Has anyone got pictures of the dark brown ash wood interior, I'm tempted by this but haven't seen a decent picture yet.

TIA

I can't find the outside temperature setting anywhere, seems to have been lost somewhere. I guess it's a legal requirement to show the kph speed information as it's not displayed on the speedo itself? Even things like the engine coolant temperature are buried quite deep in sub menus.

:D Picked mine up today. Here are two quick photos... I'll upload more later once my phone syncs everything to the web!

C350e - Album on Imgur

First impressions...

It's nice and quiet, rolling along in electric mode will entertain me for a while to come!

It's a little clunky sometimes when moving from engine mode to electric if you're also slowing down quite rapidly .

The brakes feel reasonably smooth, but you can definitely notice the difference between regenerative braking and normal discs.

I plugged the car in for 90 mins and it reached about 85% capacity, this displayed as 15 miles of range but lasted about 8-9 I'd say.

On my just under 100 mile drive on mixed roads, M25, M4 and A-roads starting with no charge I averaged 40mpg. Even when the electric range shows as empty, the battery is still at about 18 - 20% capacity.

And I can't really tell the difference between the air suspension in the C350e and the normal springs in the E-Class hire car I had.

I'll add more once I've driven it some more this evening. I've already had 2 people approach me to ask about it while it was charging up, so lots of keen people out there!
Thanks for the pics! Makes me very jealous waiting for my estate!

Also noticed that the Premium Pack differs from the estate to the saloon. When you apply the Premium pack to the estate it automatically adds 18" wheels. I think there's reference in the thread to load/towing weight issues, hence the larger wheels, but I'm surprised the 18" aren't part of the Saloon Premium(Plus) packs.

If you look at post number 1184 in this thread, think it's about page 78, I posted a photo of our interior with the dark brown ash in the matt finish. The panel matching with the wood grain looks great.

thanks for the photos and info, from the pictures of the saloons boot it is not clear how much boot space you lose, what are your thoughts please, Maidenhead merc

The loss is about 50mm in depth, however that starts about 400mm from the near edge of the boot, if that makes sense!? What I have discovered is the step created by the batteries is exactly the size of an A4 folder, so it stops most work related items from flying around the boot.

I quite like the step in the boot, it stops smaller items sliding all over the place! I'll take a photo tonight with an object sat in it that you can reference the size of, a can of coke or something.

Yep, just the 17" alloys on the saloon, I liked the look of the 18" ones, but couldn't really justify spending extra and thought they might make the ride a little harsher so I'm not too worried. Hopefully with higher profile tyres these ones will be easier to avoid kerbing as well :)

The gloss plastic in the centre console is an absolute finger print magnet - the matt ones might make a lot more sense. Again, I didn't really want to spend any extra and risk delays so stuck with the default!

I've got my connected services stuff set up now, but I'm parked underground, so hopefully that will all kick in once I venture back into the great outdoors - any idea who provide the connectivity?

having 18" would cost £5000 plus cost of wheels ..not a good option

To reduce finger prints on the black gloss console I plan to apply oleophobic coating.
(Like on iPhone screens/lenses shower screens and certain screen protectors)

Sitting in one today at the dealers I noticed that the outside temp is displayed on the screen in the bottom left.

This may be of interest or not.

The dealer should have authorised the account when you collected the car. Most services were available immediately but the geofencing and car location took a couple of days in my case. The pre cool / heat and charging info was available the day I collected the car. The inbuilt sim provides the connectivity which is free for 3 years.

I had a demo with with the plastic and so ordered dark wood ! - in my opinion it's leagues ahead of the plastic in both looks and practicality - I find the small plastic coated selection 'buttons' have smears all over them and I thought the plastic cover would scratch really easily.

Hybrid - were you in a Plug In or 300h. Do you know which screen it was in - I can't find it on any of the trip displays and someone spent ages with a salesman trying to show it. Any help really appreciated.

Ok how on earth do you apply this then as it sounds like a great idea?
