Any guesses what the loaner’s going to be? My money is on a 2L diesel A Series...

I had a new C200 the other day. 1.5 4 cylinder petrol with mild hybrid.
Went OK. The 9 speed box is nice and smooth and there was an infinitely variable interior lighting system! :rolleyes:o_O

Yes I couldn't do it this morning when I woke up. I had to set the timer for in 20 mins rather than being able to use the start button. It kept saying something about not being able to communicate with the car.

I'll have another play around with it. It's very annoying they decide to bring out a new one when the weather is cold!

A GLA has turned up this morning.

I was a bit alarmed to discover that the go pedal needed to be halfway to the floor before it would pull away from my sloping drive - even in reverse. I thought I’d left the parking break on!

And inevitably, the call came in from Mercedes that my C350e has been fixed before I’ve even driven the GLA...

Broken compressor, I believe. I’m surprised the updated suspension has failed after 21k miles.

Sorry to hear about the suspension woes.

Is anyone (whose car isn't in the garage) having trouble with the pre entry climate control on the new app? Mine doesn't seem to do anything. I reloaded the old app and it worked straight away. I was pressing "Start now" rather than trying to set the timer.

Just tried to set a departure time and no-go. Greyed out and won’t select. Direct control seems to work though.
Just re-downloaded the old app for now.......

...and having set a departure time, the new app shows it correctly set. Is it just user error or have they messed up??

Just worked for me. I had to try twice. It started on the second attempt and stopped on the first

My car has done about 400 miles since it's suspension hiccup and there has been no recurrence, so (hopefully) it was caused by a bad contact, water or an electron getting lost in some other way.

Apparently it’s one of two C350es they have in Nottingham with the same problem.

Was the warranty the original? Was it based on time or miles? Was it extended?

Not sure why I’m asking - it’s a lease car so I’m not picking up the bill...
Sorry for late response. The suspension failed a week before 3years was up!

Guess what the problem was with my suspension?

Water ingress damaging the electrical connections and killing the compressor.

Known fault with the C350e...

Presumably not considered a safety issue so no recall, just let the punters pay for MB screwing up. Nice.

Well had my first glitch with the car on Sunday. Halfway through a local journey had 60% battery left and tried to change from E save to E mode but E mode was greyed out and the engine kicked in.
Had to complete the journey in Hybrid with engine running all of the time.

When home shut the ignition off and back on in the hope it would correct the issue but no luck. What I noticed was that ‘READY’ was not displaying on the second press of ignition button and a message on the dash said to depress the brake to start engine did this and the engine started in Hybrid mode.

On Monday I hoped that it may have reset something overnight (I’m an optimist) but no such luck. Again ‘READY’ not displaying and engine started in Hybrid. A couple of miles into my journey needed to make a call and pulled into a lay-by with my foot on the brake. After the call realised the engine had cut out (stop/start system I guess) but when I pressed the accelerator the car moved away on Electric, checked the mode button and E mode was available.
Since then everything has worked as normal to my amazement, it seems I have a self healing car but just a little worried it may be something that’s going to occur again.

Can’t recall anything like this being posted on the forum, anyone had anything like this in the past.

I’ve had similar experiences a few times. Not recently, but definitely more than once. I know that some hybrids forage the engine on to use petrol that maybe getting stale in the tank. I don’t think that’s the explanation, because it doesn’t seem to last long enough...

Hi guys, I’ve managed to get my thermostat replaced for £310 from my local garage.

This Friday I’m taking my car for a service A service. Cost is £250 via independent Mercedes specialist.

I had my car valued at Mercedes and they offered £13500, which I found seriously undervalued.

what is Artico leather? That’s what I have in my car.

I've had it a few times, never really been able to pin it down to a set of circumstances but it's usually sorted itself out within a few restarts. I like to think it's some kind of technical feature rather than a glitch. :D

Glad you've managed to get it done. Artico is "man made leather" or "plastic". It's the standard material on Mercedes so don't worry about it as a large proportion have it.

You have had your car valued during the worst economic crisis since 1929, so it is what it is.

@Sraj Hopefully you will see an improvement in mpg now.

Only you can know if you would be better off to sell it at the offered price or hold fire. Given what’s happening now in the world, any kind of plans have gone out the window so do whatever makes best short-term sense seems like the best option to me at least.

Glad you had it fixed at a reasonable cost. Keep us posted on how the car runs now.
