Mb lakeside said the value service did not apply to amg models !!

Sent from my iPad using MBClub UK

The value service is just an oil and filter. It does not get an inspection for that IIRC.

If your Value Service highlights that more work is necessary, we won’t do anything without asking you first. You can also rest assured that your car will be worked on by Mercedes-Benz trained technicians using Mercedes-Benz GenuineParts.

* Please note that the Value Service does not follow the Manufacturers recommended service schedule.

The Mercedes-Benz Value Service excludes collection and delivery and loan car charges if required.

Prices are inclusive of VAT

Very competitive for a C43 bearing in mind oil type and capacity -

WOW!

That is great value. With Mobil 1 0W40 too?

The most significant thing is that it doesn't renew the Mobilo cover.

In the past, it seems that sometimes it did. But after my last dealer A service a couple of months ago, I got a letter from MB confirming Mobilo would continue (never had that before). I assume with the Value service you wouldn't get that. Some people have also reported that the dealer won't stamp the service book.

Without Mobilo (and the stamp) I don't see the point of the Value service - you might as well take the car to Kwik-Fit.

Had the book stamped and still have mobilo as reported on here before, after having the value service.

Have you tested it?

To my mind, the bigger scam is the B service. I understand that in practice, there's no difference in the checks done on a Value, A or B service.

Yes had the crank sensor replaced by mobilo on a c43 after value service - no labour charge.

Agree the B service seems a rip off.

Every dealer has a different policy and approach to this value service so it's worth checking on these finer details before going ahead.

MB Southampton do not use Mobile 1, do not continue Mobilo cover and do not stamp the service book when I enquired, but The Don is experiencing the exact opposite.

I asked when I had my car serviced and they told me they use the same oil and the car would continue on variable interval servicing. But they were adamant they wouldn't stamp the book although other members have reported it's been stamped when they've had value services.

The Mobilo thing is more centrally controlled by MB and the fact that this time I got a letter from MB about it being renewed indicates to me that if you had a value service and didn't get the letter then you'd be stuffed.

When you call Mobilo they're supposed to check the service history anyway. With my type of use, and the fact that I have absolutely no back-up plan, I'm just not going to risk it.
