Obviously well respected if he's allowed to build engines for the BS too

Would be great to have details of who built the engine for each of the 507's on my list but not sure that the dealers would appreciate me emailing them for that info. Some of them don't even like giving me the Registration

I think with the new Data protection laws, you’ll be lucky to even get a data card from the dealers!

Can't see any GDPR issues with sharing a car registration. M-B main dealers don't conceal it on their website so not sure why some of the independents feel it necessary to do so.

Guess so,
I contacted the dealer before I purchased mine when the last service was carried out. Immediately unless we see your V5 we can’t give out the information. Ok... can you tell me if the Cars had any diff oil changes? A yes or no. Sorry can not provide you with that information unless you show you as the keeper on the V5. Jeez...
bet you could board a plane faster before getting some service info

How you finding the Fire Opal red? Any issues?
Not sure if it’s a rumour but I’ve heard a lot of people have to had have there cars resprayed under warranty. Not sure how true this statement is.
Not really a fan of the red, But after looking at one in person it’s an eye opener.

I have had it resprayed under warranty by MB Manchester who were fantastic. The clear lacquer started to flake off on parts of the bonnet but also on the black glossy trim surrounding the windscreen. They replaced the flaky trim as well. Also the original wheels had signs of corrosion in the centre - so not from any kerbing and they replaced those too. Still very happy with the car 5 years and 30,0000 miles on. Just done 2500 miles round Europe which was wonderful, particularly on the autobahn!

Funny enough I was in MB Manchester yesterday to have the factory dark tinted glass fitted. As mine never came with the privacy option. They were great.
The Autobahn is an absolute heaven for cars like this, at least you can legally push it to its foremost.

Hi I have owned my AMG C63 507 Coupe since March last year and I must say I never new this forum existed, it seems full of information.
Is there any one who can please give me a list of what my car was speced with when it was built, as I have just had a Service B carried out by my local dealer and they are not the best at coming forth with this.

Illuminated door sills [U25]
Interior carbon trim [H73]
Privacy glass [840]
Interior lighting pack [876]
DAB Radio [537] std on coupe
Harmon Kardon Audio [810]

This is a very nice spec for a 507 and Silver is obviously the best colour. Looks like you drive yours about as often as I do mine

Thanks Phil you are a star. I cant believe how difficult it has been to get information from my local Mercedes Dealer concerning the build list.
It was bad enough last year when I bought it from a different Mercedes Dealer and asked when I was insuring the car prior to collection has it got a Tracker fitted. The response was no it hasn't. I collect the car and find the AMG floor mats have been removed which was bad enough as I had to drive home on paper floor mats until they agreed to order me a new set free of charge. On getting home and checking the wallet luckily I found a Tracker card in it which made it all worth while.

I've got a good spec PPP estate and I could fancy a 507 version if the right one came up for sale. I've had a look at a white one and a black one but they had quite basic specs.

Do you know if any / many estates came with the Harmon Kardon speaker system and the climate control options?

The 3-zone climate control [581] with separate controls for the rear passengers is only on 2 of the 15. One is Tenorite Grey and the other Magno Platinum. The likelihood of finding this on a white or black estate is statistically quite low.
Harmon Kardon Audio is on 7 of the 15 so pretty much a 50:50 chance of finding one with this.

What surprised me a bit was that only 6 cars have reversing cameras

At least you got mats. I had to buy my own. Fortunately got some really good quality second hand ones for £30

I must say from the first day I saw a 507 I thought silver was the best colour.
The illuminating door sills do look the part ...at night obviously.
