C63 507 Model Register

Thought I'd post my Estate on here. It's already on the register and previously been sold by Romans and Uber GT (who I bought it from). Had to travel down from Central Scotland for it so I agree that these are un-common and buyers needs to be prepared to put in the leg work :)

Only thing I've done since buying it was fitted carbon 'nostrils' from Mode Carbon...oh, and washed it a few times.

Previously had an Audi SQ5 but that's just left me a couple of weeks ago so the 507 is the new daily driver, time will tell how well that works out!

Here are some pics. Enjoy

Lovely looking car, I’m thinking the Himalaya grey diamond cut alloys look very nice on a white car :)

Can anyone throw some light on this sticker in the door shut? It’s not the VIN which is lower down but the first half dozen numbers are the same. Is this an identifier for the engine as it states Affalterbach on it ?
Afraid I can't help on what those numbers mean. It is nothing to do with the engine number. Let me know if you find out.

Thanks.

If you need any info from me, in relation to the register, just let me know.
Just need the engine builder please. Think I have everything else, unless you're aware of any other modifications in the past?
Phil

Nice! I know exactly the one.

Will you be fitting a diff?

Not at this point, time will tell if I need one. I never felt the need with my “regular” C63. I have a few minor cosmetic changes planned but nothing that can’t be reversed with a spanner and a screw driver. ;)

As my hunt continues, I have found a car with the spec I am looking for but it is much higher mileage than I really want
(70,000).

Everything else on the car checks out (unlike many I have been looking at).

What are thoughts on high mileage, am I likely to see much higher service costs.

A quick google shows extended warranty costs about double compared to a lower mileage car.

Hello

That looks to be a very nice car.

Do you know if it was sold by Romans in South London about 3 years ago with about 10,000 miles on?

I fondly remember going to see and drive that car.

That was the car which convinced me that the suspension on pre and post face lift cars is different. It was noticeably different to my pre face lift car, much more comfortable than my earlier car.

It's really nice to see that it's found a good home, I hope you enjoy it.

I have a car in the 60s and it was the only car I could find at the time which had what I wanted I.e saloon. I was lucky as I bought it from Mercedes and I got a warranty.

I didn’t car about the mileage as I use the car everyday as it’s my daily driver for school run and work.

There is a few 507s cars with low mileage and are showing issues in MOTs. It’s better to have a car that’s been driven a little.

Has anyone had to have the black 507 alloy wheels refurbished?

I’ve just detailed all 4 of mine which are thankful have been well looked after and are in mint condition but they look like they could be problematic to repair/refurbish. The silver outline appears to have been milled into rim , rather than diamond cut and looks pretty delicate.

When the tyres are ready for changing I’m definitely going for ones which protrude as much as possible over the edge of the rim , most likely Goodyear Assymetric 3.
