C63 507 Model Register

Cheapest 507 yet?

Interior looks filthy, always amazes me how some dealers photograph cars without cleaning them properly. The wheels appear to have had a refurb and the milled lip looks like it’s been removed with a diamond cut.

If they were grey that would explain the lip being wrong for a black alloy ;)

Probably would scrub up well if you have the time and patience, Black cars do tend to have a lot of swirls in the paint if not looked after correctly.

I think the original wheels on that car are titanium grey ones. The car is very grubby!

Yep, not very well presented but if it just needs some cosmetics sorting then could be a cheap option for someone. Advert doesn't give anything away apart from the colour, which is pretty obvious if you have eyes!

I personally hate it when a relatively new car (less than 10 years old more specifically) has been repaired/repainted. Something about original paint I prefer rather than something that’s been masked off. I will unfortunately be steering clear of them all together!

An owner I met at the PL meet at Mallory Park last year was just about to have his Fire Opal Red 507 totally resprayed by MB, he should have it back this week or very soon after. The question for me would be if the new paint had another 10 year warranty on it from the day he collects it. If it does then surely other Fire Opal Red cars are good for an MB respray if they are inside the 10 year paint warranty period. Taking away the issue with the paint it is a truly beautiful colour for a 507 :)

That was crazy cheap. With a bit of tidy up and replace a few bits would make it nice

They didn't know what they had. I suspect it was a part ex and they got rid of it.

Interesting point regarding the warranty, I doubt MB would give another 10 years on the new paint but could be wrong

As for that sedan, I called at 8.07am this morning and it was available... as I was asking a few questions someone put a deposit on it and they were waiting for the finance to get accepted.. it did supposedly and it sold. Was only right near me too..! Don’t care about having black again but for that money I would have..!

The factory spec is 19” titanium/silver wheels so they have been painted black and the lip diamond cut. Car was last sold at Essex prestige autos in October.

This has LSD from factory but service history was skewed. That’s been part exchanged very quickly!

I keep an eye on this and the best I've seen is the odd set available from Eastern Europe for around £3-4,000 on ebay.

I missed a set last week :(

@Andy1a2b I was in Mercedes Brooklands the other week and they quoted me around £650-£680 per wheel including VAT. It takes around 2/3 days delivery and payment upfront. I was thinking of getting another set for summer tyres.
