I doubt if Kia would knock £2K off a £6K car. Cash isn't as attractive to a dealer as you might think; they'd much rather give you 'trade' price for your old car and get you on a credit deal.

And the real biggie is why not buy something 6 months old instead?

You'd rather pay more for a used car than a brand new one?

I guess we'll have to wait and see how the scheme really works but the Kia one above does look good on the face of it.
