I just wanna share my story maybe someone can help but its been pretty **** week for me..

few days ago i was home in north wales and i notice i have a slow puncture or something so i pump tyre up and all seems fine.. i drive back down to Portsmouth problem free and the next day i drive to Southampton, getting out the car i notice the car is completly flat!! i get the car to a fuel garage and try the air pump to pump it up.. but it aint working because i notice the tyre is completely destroyed and i can stick my hand inside it from the back

phone mercedes recovery and they get a guy out to stick my space saver on.. so i manage to get back to the naval base where i can leave my car .. untill yesterday i manage to find somewhere to fit a new tyre before i set of home.. everything seemed fine until on the m6 near stafford services and i noice the steering go funny.. .. put hazards on and creeped into stafford services near where the lorrys park had alook and my brand new tyre had the same problem as the last .. completely flat.. rubber all on the road behind me. phoned mercedes breakdown again and they get a guy to come out and take my home to north wales .. got back about 3am im guesing it went flat on the motorway and i didnt notice and the destruction was caused by driving it flat.. im just wondering what is wrong with my car/wheel that is destroying tyres?? nothing seems to be poking out.. the recovery guy seemed to think there might be a hole in the alloy letting out air?

anyways its in the dealership near me.. im hoping my warranty covers whatever is wrong, i only bought it as a mercedes approved used a few months ago

My understanding is that the alloy can become porous, so it is not necessarily cracked as such... though you wouldn't expect this to happen on MB original wheels?

How could you drive your car with a completely flat tyre without noticing? Twice.:dk:

Yes, you should check with Alfie if he can turn-on the Type Pressure Monitoring feature on your car (he did on mine).

the first time the monitor went off was when i stopped the first time and notice the tyre was knackered.. it went of the second time but i just assumed its because i dont know how to reset the sensor
