Cheap Tyres v. Expensive Tyres

Oh .. and pattern! It makes a huge difference even with the same compound. A big reason why it's hard to compare directly. And power output of the car. And weight. Any drive bias. And .. well, lots of stuff! Some tyres are better at braking; some at accelerating; some at cornering; some have better shoulder support .............

Cheap tyres are *usually* rubbish and expensive tyres are *usually* much grippier. The grip often comes considerably at the expense of life (mind the pun!).
