Clips on air box over the battery on SLK R172

SLK 350 R172. I am trying to find a supplier of the little screw clips that hold the lid to the battery compartment on. The lid also acts as an air intake duct for the cabin air.

Mercedes say that the thumbscrew part of the clip is only available with the air box.

I've got one of those and have no idea where the battery is, thought it was that thing thing with the red "+" cap on it to the top right middle (left as you look at it) of the engine, between the top cover an the wheel arch/strut ?

Are you covering all bases with top right middle left?

No, according to your owner's handbook that is the Jump Start/Charger connection.

As the OP stated the battery is under the cabin air intake, top right in your picture.

Not quite sure why the manual saus replacing the battery is a job for MB, but I don't think I'll take it apart to find out, or I could be needing some "little screw clips" to
