It's a good spin. Problematic mature markets so you focus on the 'good news' from one that is emerging.
China is huge. But the reality is per-capita wealth is low. But it represents an area for growth. Trouble is the media spin it up as rather more than it is.
They sell a disproportionate numbers of S-Class compared with other models.
Per capita income is still low overall - combine that with an imbalanced wealth distribution - and the absolute numbers (a small % of a billion people is a lot of people) - and you get some interesting headlines (as well as actual facts I guess).
This is why the market is so deceptive in terms of the media headlines. It's not all it seems.
