Death of my 300

why don't you accept the uninsured drivers offer of a cash payment. probably less hassle and a better deal than through your insurance given that you will lose NCD.

I would certainly consider it if I thought there was a genuine prospect of being paid .

However , despite assurnces that I would be contacted later on the day of the incident , I have yet to hear from them .

On the evening following the incident my neighbour went down to the address given ( they would not give a telephone number and are not in the book ) regarding her damaged fence . The address turned out to be a very run-down council house and the female driver came to the door - when asked for her details she responded with " I haven't got time for you F******g people just now ........ F**** Off and come back later " . My neighbour also commented that , judging by the look of them and their home , it is unlikely that they have any money .

I therefore doubt that anything will be forthcoming from them . There doesen't seem much point in

As it stands at present , I have only informed my insurers of the incident by telephone and have not actually asked to make a claim (although they have presumed that I do want to claim) . I will wait meantime to see what sort of offer they come up with . However , if they (my insurers) try to take the vehicle I will point out that I am not claiming and the vehicle is still my property (the vehicle is presently parked up my drive with another vehicle in front of it - if I come home from work to find either have been moved in my absence it will become a Police matter) ; I will then move my business for my other vehicles to another insurer .

I am now listing a lot of the bits from my car on ebay , see

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....30028775768&rd=1&sspagename=STRK:MESE:IT&rd=1

and check for my other auctions .

So many people have asked me about so many different items on various forums , so I reckoned the fairest way was just to stick the lot on ebay . Apart from the leather interior , they're all no reserve auctions starting at one pound and running for 10 days .

In reply to Howard
What a waste of good bullets, I have a better idea why not just chop them up slowly starting with the personal bits.

Odd that a collegue should have had his car repaired under the MIB scheme?
I added more info to my post to include a link to the MIB website, it seems times have changed slightly since I last looked into MIB and I was more concerned with missing 3rd party information!

just seen the thread.

Sorry to see the car in this state.... hope the scumbags who caused it get their just deserts, either by the police or sometime in the future.

i have no time for these people who are obviously free-loaders
