Detailing, Valeting, Car Washing.....

Why would he want to have it wet sanded he is over the moon with it and rightly so its a cracking job mate well done.
and the double denim is a bold step though :bannana::thumb:

Tony.

That is a shiny car, lovely job you have done there

Thanks guys! Lots of hard work but I'm pleased with the result!

Top job, I'm actually going to start on my CLK Thursday if the weather holds got a brand new rotary polisher, a mild cutting paste and glaze topped off with P222. Fingers crossed Mr sun keeps on shining :thumb:

Excellent. Have fun and loads of photos please! Yesterday actually got too hot for my black car and I kept having to go back into the garage.

I'd love to but money is the issue. KDS Paint correction is £375 -£800 mark. My efforts will never be As good but they offer me a percentage of the finish available.

Lol there definitely not that price for orange peel removal by Kelly:o

Is there any chance of direct sun shots, would be great to see the results in the sun:)

I'm not saying any specific but even if i could afford I'd travel to you;)

Theres a few of yesterdays are direct sun shots. Is there something specific you want a photo of?

BTW having discovered the joys of MOPing, I wonder how often can I do it to my paint. I guess I can MOP weekly!!

Theres not much sun this morning but I've tried to photograph the bonnet without reflections and have concluded that the camera can't cope or focus on a photo of something so shiny. This photo I have tried to upload so that that you can zoom in on the original and get more detail. HTH

Presumably if you correct too much you can forget any rust warranty claims as the paint readings wouldn't be right?

I can't see that polishing would remove much paint , obviously cutting would. I'm not sure how often one can use the MOP safely.

I dont think weekly moping is a good idea as you would remove a small layer of clear every time! If after polishing you finish with a good wax you wont need to mop any where near as often as that!
I think detailing world should be your next stop!

Tony.

Wasn't directing it at what you'd done so much, more wet sanding, orange peel removing or other paint correction etc

Oh dear - that polisher will just take up space in your garage - totally useless.

Sorry I have nothing positive to say about it - been there, done that. :o

Well the photos would suggest it isnt totally rubbish. It could be lighter, it could be less violent in its movement, it could have variable speeds but it did a job and removed the microscratches.

Hi Bud, This is what I mean by a sun shot. I took these after last weeks job was completed:

With the sun directly in the picture on the paint, it will show you the true finish. If You take a shot like this you will be able to see how well the machine work etc and get a much better idea of what you have achieved.

Kind Regards

Michael

OK. I'll try! How often is it safe to polish lightly as I have?

Well 20 photos later and nearly blind from looking at the sun, I got two!

It ain't perfect but it's cheap!

For your out lay? around £50 for polish and machine?? its bl00dy good.

Get on Detailing World forum and you will be spending £100 at least on a DA, then pads, polish, 3m tape, LED torch, etc etc.

Give yourself a pat on the back.

Where abouts are you wanna borrow a da to get rid of the swirls?

Tony.
Thats very kind Tony. I'm not far away in Medway but I'm going to be pushed for time for a couple of weeks due to work and family stuff.

Thank you :) The actual cost was £24.99 for the polisher and nothing on product as I just used what I already had. As you say for the outlay I can't complain :)

No worries mate i am not going anywhere.
I have a DodoJuice buff daddy (das6) D/A i have lime prime and lite but if you want to borrow you might just want to get your own pads and polish but your welcome to give it a go mate with a bit of supernatural wax to finish.

Tony.
