Thinking of striking a deal on above, in sport.
Could any one advise if they are not underpowered pls? 200 bhp?

Before settling on my E350CDI I test drove a E250CDI and unless you're really going for it, there isn't that much difference in performance in normal road use.

Don't know if that answers your question?

Yes thank you,
Will test drive myself anyways
Wasn't sure if other engine then v6 will pull as good

Price £36,590; 0-62mph 7.5sec; Top Speed 149mph; Economy 57.7mpg; CO2 131g/km; Kerbweight 1765kg; Engine 4 cyls in line, 2143cc turbodiesel; Power 201bhp at 3800rpm; Torque 369lb ft at 1600-1800rpm; Gearbox 7-spd automatic;

7.5 for a big car is pretty fast to me, I have the c250cdi and it pulls like a train.

I bought an E200 with the low powered 1.8 (181bhp) petrol engine and I find it to be faster and to accelerate faster than is really necessary for me at least. Only downside is the fuel consumption as it's a small engine hauling a heavy car.

I had one as a loaner when someone pranged my CLK , seemed a little agricultural , power was either on or off.

If you are coming from a v8 it might seem a bit wooly , but you'll probably get used to it quickly.

I know you like your v8's though Borys ;)

The 250 is good.

The 350 better.

The 250 is obviously lower torque and power but the numbers are still very respectable. AIUI the torque curve is also a bit peakier than the 350 so it's a bit more dependent on the transmission shifting to get the best out of it.

Thanks guys,
First off on my holidays tomorrow. once back will be on it :-)
