E63 S courtesy car

How much is that going to depreciate in 3 years???

I fully understand smiles per miles...

But that's a brave guy/gal that will suffer that:wallbash:

Personally think better option is to buy a standard one with LSD.

Can't justify paying extra for an S...I suppose if it's exclusivity you want and money is no option then why the heck not:bannana:

Think most will be on lease and for a lucky few as a company car.

Definitely a good idea giving a similar or better model as a courtesy car.

Last time I left my car with Audi for a couple of days, I got a new S6 they had in stock with LED headlights, Bang & Olufsen stereo and Night Vision as a courtesy car, the time before that it was a three year old A3 with bugger all options! It makes perfect sense for dealers to do this. It can only be a good thing

Honestly john the thing is like a rocket ship. It has so much torque it's quite incredible. 1st and 2nd come and go in an instant when driving it hard, then foot to the floor in 3rd and boooom you have already broke 100mph. It's so fast it's dangerous :D. Plus the steering is so light. It's a very very nice motor.

Ah yes, do have to be careful: can get some very nasty looks in the Waitrose car park. :D

But I've done a plate check and it comes back showing 549bhp.

They've made a mistake, that car is not an S

No S model dials, seatbelts, or seat trims on display.

I've not seen another S212 E63 ever (and I've been looking) - I live in hope :thumb:.

John, just for you - SW London this morning

This is a 'typo' - the car is NOT an 'S'. The giveaway signs are

No red calipers
No 'S' on the speedo in front of the AMG logo
No white seat belts (on black interiors)
No aluminium highlights on the side skirts
No aluminium trim on front spoiler

The one advertised at Portadown for 59995 ISNT a 'S' either
The one advertised at Temple Fortune for 68989 ISNT a 'S' either

The first real 'S' is the one at Solihull for 69989 :thumb:

Didn't think that the "S" was being sold in rhd something to do with the cost to re-engineer, due to the steering column on the right interfering with the turbo position I might be wrong.

I think you maybe thinking of 4matic and the transfer box??

Boy is this car quick

I've been searching the internet and found this link:

List of fastest production cars by acceleration - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

0-60 in 3.4 and quarter mile in 11.6 :eek: That's serious going when the car is approaching the 2 tonne mark :thumb: the most impressive part is how it actually puts the power down. I have a quaife LSD on my C63 and have read, a few times, that the AMG LSD isn't that good but I think that's a load of bull***t because it absolutely awesome

Those figures are surprising, knew it would be fast but it's really mixing it with some dedicated sports cars there. Truly impressive when you think of the weight as you point out.

Imagine a stripped out version ;-)

I had the normal E63 Biturbo and I can fully agree the 5.5 Biturbo is bloody fast :thumb:

I love the handling and steering feel along with the instant power which is endless with plenty of torque.

Serious weapon.

It is quick but not quite that quick as those numbers relate to the LHD market only 4wd version which gets the power down better from standstill as you'd expect. Still a very very fast car though in 2wd form.
