F1 Testing next week.

I have some motorsport photography experience - about 18 months worth. Last year I became official photographer for one series but was restricted to shooting from public areas. This year, thanks to the co-operation of the main regional newspaper, I have been able to apply and get media passes to allow me trackside for better angles (bit scary sometimes).

I might not like the way you have angled your excellent pictures but I am in awe of the way you have tweaked the colours. They are spot on and I just wish I could learn this skill.

Apart from the black and white conversions, the only tweaks have been a mild contrast boost and some mild sharpening. There has been no adjustment to the colours themselves - as they came out of the camera.

I think it is that contrast boost that has made them stand out. I am NOT being critical and we can all learn by looking. C220 is quite clearly an expert at fine tuning and the picture needs to be captured and you have done that in spades.

I take it your not impressed with the Honda? Was the driver pushing the car to test its potential?

The Honda was pretty slow, but its the amount of winglets they've added to it that makes it look ugly.

I would expect the influence of Ross Brawn to come through for the 2009 car.

Lewis F1 Testing 2008 - pics and videos

As i was fortunate enough to pick the day that Lewis was testing this year , i thought i would share some pics i took and some videos i uploaded to google. Unfortunately the quality of the videos are much worse online than when viewed from my memory card Does google compress them?

Also, I saw Lewis spin on the tight corner from Vale to Club.....did anyone get this on video?

It makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.......

But its very close to the track compared with others places to stand.
