Fancy a very late 124

He seems pretty clued up about it's heritage to me.

This car has had 3 owners including myself the first owner was the garage that imported it from Mercedes in India and sold it to my best friend with 100 kilometres on the clock date 30.09.01, my friend had it until 19.01.2011. I purchased it from him on 20.01.2011 for a few weeks until my new car arrived.

And also about the clocks too.

The mileometer is showing 31,000 miles but this is due to my friend having it changed from kilometres to miles at 60,000 as documented on one of the MOT.

^Now you would be a happy buyer that would believe all that crap, right?

He purchased the car to use for a couple of weeks and now hes selling on behalf of someone else.:wallbash::wallbash::wallbash:

The seller also seams somewhat confused about the ownership of the car, as he says that it his car, but he is selling it on behalf of someone else.

it looks like a nice clean car but its bit puzzling, it says only one owner yet in the blurb it says its had three owners and they feel they have to state it hasnt been in an accidents or anything. It dosent mention what happened to it in the 5years between importing and registration either.

I hope they were more through while importing it, the new owner will probably find a cobra living in the tire well, lol.

The 124 was built in India after 96 and they carried on till 2001.

I mean is all standard like every other 124 apart that they sit higher and they only made 220 petrol or 250 diesel and all of they were manual
The also came with mileage reading clocks instead of kilometres as the seller states, hence I said ^ that it could be clocked

Spot on I think

Loads of 'flags' in the description and its location more or less guarantees IMO that has minicabbed round Ilford and East London........

Wouldn't go anywhere near it

Ah right, I thought it was built and imported in 96 and then not registered till 01, my bad.

That`s what he say`s,no ;):thumb:

Nothing special really...No alloys, no spec, nothing.

£1k just for the year? No thanks!

Quite a few of these '51 plate registered 124s floating about. Would much rather have a nice original UK-spec one rather than an odd import one with funny suspension, manual gearbox etc.

I do know where there is an lovely Azurite blue E320 124 coupé on a genuine '98/'99 T-plate though, and have seen a few very late 124 estates over the years too ('P' or possibly even an 'R') :)

Be very interested to hear about this to :dk:
P reg can be a very late 124,but above!!!India cars were saloons only,as far as I know

There is a 51 plate azurite blue e320 w124 coupe around Teddington.

Sorry guys, it wasn't Azurite blue, it's actually brilliant (?) silver.

But it is an original T-plated 124 coupé, you can see it on Google maps :)

Yes, mine's an Indian import, but with the spec I got, I'm happy.

Black in color, black leather and A/C - only electric/heated seats are missing, otherwise it would be perfect ;)

And I actually prefer a manual, but I guess I'm 1 out of 100 probably...

60000 kilometres = 37,360 miles plus 31,000 on the new clock = 68,360 and the mileage stated as 71,000 miles above the blurb. Very vague...
