Yep - I was always very careful to keep my hands to myself when I was still working.May well get interpreted as that, but should it be? I'm not so sure, though am not condoning it....

I don't think it's inlawful violence, but haven't studied the case law precedent. But nowadays people scream blue murder if someone literally touches them safe space required!
I recall my first stint working in the USA about 25 years ago. One of my male colleagues was telling me over a beer that the females in the office thought I was a snob because I never talked to them socially - was all business . I explained, to him, that I didn’t because of the rampant feminism and misandry in the USA at the time & didn’t want to get myself into trouble. He reported back to them and the reply was “This is Louisiana, we’re not interested in that NY & California BS - come talk to us” (American women love foreign accents).
However these days - touch a female colleague on the shoulder and some of them will cry “assault / sexual harrassment”.......
