Fat Bint on Horse Slags off my pet welfare decisions......

I disagree. You shouldn't be forced to respect something that are against your beliefs, for example. Why should you respect something you see as disgraceful?

It doesn't haven't any impact on freedom of expression; two separate issues. People should be free to express views you do not respect.
I respect your opinion 😁

And I agree someone shouldn’t be forged to do anything, but an opinion or belief is not right or wrong, just different. In the workplace which beliefs would be so opposed to your own for it to justify being tolerated rather than respected?

In the context of freedom of expression or harmony in the workplace the use of the word “respect” doesn’t imply that you must admire the person or their belief, rather that should you accept that they are equally entitled to a different opinion or belief to your own.

Imho as soon as you poked her you committed a physical assault - no matter how ‘gently’ you believe it to be.
You then went on to ‘wobble’ her leg.

If she decides to go and chat to the police, you will have a much more uncomfortable time explaining how you feel it was justified.

It’s common assault.

You’ve said you wouldn’t have poked a big burly bloke in your reply to my earlier post, which just indicates that you feel entitled to assault a woman but not a bloke.

Charming. You must be very proud of yourself.

Well if I called a big burley bloke a .unt I'm pretty sure it would have spiraled into assault more serious than leg wobbling. I'm not a hard man by any stretch of the imagination but when I comes to my dogs I'm ready for anyone.

But it's all by the wayside as you were not there. Many a time I have let comments by unpleasant women slide by without biting back just because they were women. I am fully aware it's not how a proper man behaves. But this horrible high and mighty, sneery woman just really got my goat. And like I said in previous posts it turns out I'm not the only one.

Mrs PMP has a temper on her and has got herself in bother on more than one occasion and it then falls to me to be the voice of reason………………... I could have easily clumped him one……..
These statements are contrary.

I’ve read again the opening post and I don’t understand why anybody would advertise such bad behaviour. I’m surprised that so many posts seem to support the OP‘s behaviour, it was drummed into me that men should respect that woman are at a physical disadvantage and that you didn’t swear at woman let alone obscenities so poking a horse rider‘s leg and obscenities at her is threatening and completely unacceptable.

it’s also stupid behaviour, horses are unpredictable. A horse rider is at a disadvantage and an abusive man with two dogs could spook the horse causing it to rear up causing the rider to fall off.

Women call it ‘small **** syndrome’ I believe.

Yes I understand that. If you read my other posts I was fully aware of the consequences and was calm whilst doing it and my post above explains my reasons for "advertising" it.

But it still doesn't change the fact that if I was riding a unpredictable wild animal I would not be insulting random passer by's. For her to do that and not expect a reaction is just plain stupidity on her part.

Fortunately for her my dogs are completely disinterested in horses, small furies is another matter !

It sounds pendantic but there's quite a difference in the meaning of respect and tolerate if it came to a court of law. But I agree with you with respect to your interpretation of the word respect 😁

And I also agree opinions are just that, and not necessarily right or wrong. But would you extend that to the opinion that all gay people should be killed, for example?

Imho as soon as you poked her you committed a physical assault
May well get interpreted as that, but should it be? I'm not so sure, though am not condoning it....

intentionally or recklessly causes another to suffer or apprehend immediate unlawful violence

I don't think it's inlawful violence, but haven't studied the case law precedent. But nowadays people scream blue murder if someone literally touches them 🙄 safe space required!

To those who say it’s OK to insult someone based upon their weight, is it also OK to insult someone based upon their race, religion, gender, or nationality?
Pity it's not wrong to be such a snowflake!
Clearly the later is wrong.....but the former is a choice and the latter, by and large, isn't. As said before, calling someone fat who is actually fat is not an insult....its a statement of fact....like calling me whitish, tallish, slightly over weight and half Italian.....all of which are just the facts of the matter. A real skinny person could call me fat by their standards....which would be fair!
I'm firmly of the belief that it's time that the 99 percent of us who are NOT offended by every slightest thing stop bending over backwards and kowtowing to the one percent that are.
This thread is well of topic and wont lead nowhere so I will bow out gracefully.

It’s gone beyond that - we now have a sector that take offence on behalf of others even if the “others” are not offended or even present.

It reminds me of the quip “ If I say something and my wife is not around, am I still wrong?"

The Greyhound took Best in the hound group at Crufts! That pleased SWMBO as she works for a Greyhound charity!
Never understood riding horses, they would be of more use as a source of ,very tasty, meat.

My dad bred racehorses for about 20 years and while I’ve never seen the appeal of riding one, they are actually really nice animals & very intelligent.

My wife loves riding and being Dutch is also quite partial to horse meat!🤮 When I was a kid my parents used to buy horse meat to feed our dogs and the smell when it was cooking was awful.

How about we stop villainising them and just let them get on with their lives? They're just people like you and I and shouldn't be treated as 'abnormal'. There is no normal or abnormal, there are just differences, and everyone should be allowed to live their lives as they please (within the law obviously). I'd like to be clear that I wasn't defending this woman just because she was overweight, that has nothing to do with her actions. I'm just defending a group of people who generally get judged a lot. Why shouldn't they be able to live in peace with the rest of us with their choices respected in the same way you expect your choices to be respected?
Being grossly / morbidly overweight is abnormal!

Nobody says that they should be treated as abnormal but they need to recognise that their weight problems are self inflicted.

There would not be a huge market for low cal & fat free foods, food replacement drinks (Slimfast etc), weight loss clubs, slimming pills, government efforts to stop kids consuming too much sugar etc etc etc if being overweight was a disease.......

It is overeating & lack of exercise.

A nice piece of horse meat, pot roasted is delicious. It is like very good beef. Had a nice meal in Switzerland consisting of horse filet which you portioned and cooked on a very hot stone. Stunning.
Given the choice I would order horse as opposed to beef.

I'm a polyamourous ethically non-monagmous bisexual cross dressing swinger - you going to judge me on my choices?
Many people would, I think... Some would envy you, if all that is true...

What does 'ethically' non-monogamous (aka polygamous) mean, as opposed to 'unethically' non-monogamous?

As the thread seems to be coming to a close i would like to ask the following two questions
1. Would it help to consider how Jesus might have reacted in this situation?
2. Would the OP have reacted differently if the horse rider was a fit bird with big knockers?

1 ,she would probably of said something sarcastic about wearing a towel whilst being nailed to a cross
2 ,The OP probably would of enjoyed poking her leg
