Finally got the car

flash lemon won't damage the leather?

No, as long as you mix it 10:1.

You need to get all the grime out of the grain, it is the dirt that sits in the grain and start to sheen, and so any cleaner will do the job to get it out, and then use a conditioner to put some oils back in it to it doesn't dry out.

I find Autoglym Lether Cleaner spray cleans far better than Gliptone, I could not get the denim stain out of my grey E320 with Gliptone, so had a bash with the Autoglym and it came out in around 10 mins. I bought a Meguiars interior brush and used that in circle motions.

All available from Halfords, think I paid £26 for the cleaner, the brush and their conditioner.
Managed to get the driver seat in my old mans 7 series from what I thought was unrecoverable, it had no grain showing and really shiny, to looking almost new, completely matte and only a couple of slight creases to show it was 5 years old.

I didn't realise that an all purpose cleaner (APC on the detailing forums, took me ages to work out what they were talking about!) would do the same sort of job. For £6.99 though worth having the proper stuff I guess, but for cleaning matts and carpets you are better to spend £3 on a bottle of flash, as you would need too much of the proper stuff.

Just to add, leather from the last 3 odd years doesn't need a conditioner, it has a layer on it, so will be a complete waste.

Oh, and it will get even the shiniest, hardest looking worn out steering wheels looking matte and felling soft again.

I might give that a shot as my drivers seat and steering wheel are looking a bit shiny at the moment.

Use the cleaner first, when it starts to look matte you have cleaned it enough.

Give it a good hour to dry before putting conditioner on, it is tempting to put that on as you have just bought it, but you only need it to make sure it doesn't dry out as you have just wet it, so really I would do that the day after as you may need to clean the leather again and you don't want to take a load of conditioner off.

Nice pics. Like your car. Enjoy.

Bloody RUST! found another bit on the bonnet today.

Alas, the more you look, the more you'll find.
