fitting new clocks (w210) 2000

hello you lot hope someone can help me as the dealership dont have a clue.

just bought some second hand clocks for the w210 e320 cdi what i need to know do i have to get the cars computer reset to accept the new clocks

as mad as it sounds the dealers didnt know and didnt ring me back service with a smile eh ?

yes they will be a straight swap; just pull out the old ones and plug the new ones in.

HOWEVER - depending on the options that your car has the new clocks will have to be set to the same settings IF they are different...

ie; size of fuel tank, engine size (changes Rev-counter), and of course the milage will have to be set again, although a merc dealer wont do this.... u will have to go to "another" garage, especially if its going back in milage.
