Forget expensive detailing, quickest way to clean a CLS

as much as i dislike the new cls, this is no way to treat anything representing the 3 pointed star.. !

Believe it or not, I saw the same method being used by a valeting outfit in Birmingham back in 1993. It was across the road from my place of work and they treated every car who come in for a full valet the same way. After the jet wash, they would use a wet & dry vac to get rid of most of the water, then run the car with the windows slightly down and heater on full. Finally after an hour or so, they go over with trim treatment / shine. Needless to say I never used them, but they seemed to have many repeat customers.

At least with a leather interior, I would imagine you don't end up with a wet ****.

:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

OMG! I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS.

IS HE A f%^^&ING **** OR WHAT!

UNBELIEVABLE.

Hi Guys just had a funny dream. I dreamt I saw a 'plonker' washing the interior of a my CLS with a pressure washer,:crazy:. Phew, wrong reg! :)

This reminds me of the time that I got sort of gazumped on a fleet of vans I was buying.

I'd been talking to an old acquaintance and happened to mention I was on my way to go and bid on these fleet of vans from a local delivery service place. Unbeknown to me, he went behind my back and did a deal with a sweetener for the man who had the authority to ok the sale of the vans.

Anyway, about a week later, he called by for a 'chit-chat' (he didn't know that I knew he'd had me over) and while looking at one of my vans asked me "how do you get the front cabs so clean when they're in a bit of a mess?", "I just jet-wash the full lot, why?" I replied. "You jet-wash the lot? That's a bit risky isn't it?" he said. "No, vans are made so they can stand water being blasted at the dash and so on, why?" "No reason" he said.

I get a phone-call about a week later telling me that he's jet-washed the front cabs of 6 vans and now they all won't start. Which was a shame.

Just showed my old man this and he too was like ehhh! WTF!

I wouldn't use a pressure cleaner on the bodywork, let along what that guy did. OMG! :eek:

You should use a PW on the bodywork before you go anywhere near it with a wash mitt or sponge (if you really must use one.) A normal hose doesn't rinse dirt well enough to prevent contact damage during hand washing.

The thing you should use are those rotary nozzle attachments that people use for patio cleaning -they will strip paint that is already damaged if you're not careful. Normal fan type PW nozzles are fine.

Id hate to see him polish it, probably use wet & dry!

Would only ever pressure wash the underside/wheel arches of any car i own:)

Thoroughly!
