I very much doubt that. Wining races is EVERYTHING to these guys. And I’m guessing he wanted to hit the magic 100 poles on the last race weekend which now will not happen.

It is a interesting problem,Lewis has payed the price of all this hugging and mixing after the race,SV had the right idea when the big accident happened on Sunday he stayed in his car in the pit lane when everybody and his dog were milling around ,but he did get out but kept clear of all but his immediate team members,still will Mercedes run his car in the next race ,if they don't will they be fined,could they use the test driver Vandoorne,in fact I suspect they will have too,he is at the track,it will be interesting who if anybody gets the nod.

I'd love to see what George Russell could do with the car - but I guess realistically even if the opportunity was viable then it would still be a long shot to get a good benchmark of what he was capable of in just one weekend.

Yup, formula 1 congratulates itself on how it is dealing with this awful virus but surely those that have come into contact with the World Champion, must self isolate. Tis a simple rule but I am guessing it will be one rule for us mere mortals and one rule for the demi-gods

I think Vandoorne is probably favourite as he is due to be in Bahrain this weekend so would be in the testing bubble schedule, and I can’t really see Williams releasing Russell as he is the only real chance of the team scoring that valuable point they so desperately need.

Not me. I doubt that Stroll reattached his steering wheel either, nor that he’ll be fined for not doing so. As ridiculous as many of the stewards’ decisions have been in the past ...

I have just read the comments from the FIA regarding observations made by Daniel Riccardo when he talks about the constant release of footage regarding this incident.

I note how the FIA state they only allow release of this coverage after ensuring the driver, doctors, marshals etc are safe. Really, honestly?? The last fatal F1 was I believe Jules Bianchi and there is any amount of Sky Sports footage showing this awful event, so let's not pretend we are whiter than white. Was there too much discussion regarding Grosjean? That is down to our commentators who feel they have to contribute, but let us not pretend broadcasters are doing to 'right thing'

It will be Vandoorne (their FE driver) or Gutierrez (reserve driver). I doubt Russell will get a chance as he is contracted to Williams and even though he is a Mercedes Junior, why would they give up their best driver?

On another note, Callum Illot won't be in F1 next year. This leaves Schumacher a favourite for the Haas seat

Mazepin was announced today in one of the Haas seats, Mick is expected to get the other.
