As above, the website shown in this thread doesn't appear to be able to give the code for Alpine radios.Your serial # indicates an Alpine unit.

Give the dealer a call with your vin and reg and you should get the code. Failing that, you may have to take the V5 and some identity to the dealer for the code.

Just found this thread and the link in post #1. Thanks Spike.

I just received this morning a Becker 4716 30APS purchased on the web on Monday. I'll be checking in tomorrow for the code as it wasn't included with the unit.

Hi to All,

Have just joined today what has been a great site for me as a guest so to speak, so good that I have now registered finally with you.

Anyway after reading about problems that people are having reference to Radio Code for the Mercedes Audio 10 CD (This is an Alpine Model made for Mercedes and mostly fitted to the A Class W168 1998 TO 2004, Model) may stand corrected here.

Anyway as many of you have said, all these companies advertising that they can get Radio Codes, then you put in the 14 Digit Code (they ask for) which begins with AL (Then) 12 Numbers (do not put the B at the end) on this Audio 10 Model MF2910. Cd Player

Only to find they may have taken your money BUT cannot get the Code OR takes forever and still no joy.

The ANSWER is: Phone your local Mercedes Dealer, (parts department) tell them your details, you will need the AL code/serial number which means you will have to get the stereo out, you will find a white sticker with lots of information on it BUT NOT the AL Serial number BUT if you look below this to the left you will see it stamped into the metal casing, remember you only need the AL and the next 12 digits only. You will also be asked for your VIN/Chassis number and the Reg number.

Tell the Dealer that a Thread on MB Club Website has recommended this service, and Hey Presto they will give you the Radio Code for FREE.

Takes them about 2 minutes to do, Super Superb Service by Mercedes Benz Dealership.

Thats why I have a few Mercedes in my Garages and love them.

Note: To get the Radio out you need 2 special tools to slot in at the bottom left/right corners (you will see 2 slots), the tools can be bought from Mercedes Benz OR as I did make my own out of a discarded old credit card, if you go to you tube and search for Mercedes Radio removal there you will see how to make the tools needed.

Hope this has helped one and all.

Regards J

Hello Again.

Some of you may be lucky enough to have the Original Hand Wallet/Book along with the all important Radio ID Card, which may have the Radio Code and Serial Number on. This makes life easier for you, but IF like me and others you do not or have lost it etc then you will need to take the Radio out IF you do not have the serial number.

I have supplied photos reference to the Mercedes Benz Audio 10 CD model (made by Alpine) which shows the details stated above by me along with the 2 x tools I easily made out of an old "Matalan" Store Card, in order to get the CD Player out.

Please NOTE the Serial Number which is NOT on the white label and stamped into the metal casing as this IS the number you will need in order to get the Radio Code.

Hope this has been of help,

Regards J

Hello Again,

Final photo as I have almost exceeded my attachment limit shows the spring clip that keeps the Radio secure/in place.

By pushing the made up tools through the slots you will then hear a CLICK, this means that they have now sprung the clip and are in place, IF you have made them right you can PULL the Radio out, IF you still hear a click BUT the radio still will NOT come out then, holding both tools tightly Push them away from each other while also pulling ie: < > this should then allow the sprung clips to move closer in order to remove.

Remember IF you hear a "CLICK" Theyt are correctly in place, just a little jiggle should then remove the Radio.

Of course you could always buy the correct tool for removal from Mercedes Benz, I didn't because they where closed and needed the Radio out urgently.

Regards J

Hey guys! I purchased a radio on ebay and for some reason the code the dealer gave me doesn't work can anyone of you guys help me out
It's for a 2001 Benz ml 320
SERIAL NUMBER AL 4310 2 07 13312
MODEL MCS
MODEL NO NV4BN110 THANKS IN ADVANCE

FWIW I was able to get the code for my MF 2297 (Alpine) from radio-code.it

I typed in Alpine and it gave option of Benz with pictures - I selected the right picture and although the Default prefix was still BE (and mine is AL), I inputted the 12 numbers and it worked!

Hopefully this may help someone in the future as this thread helped me!

Help me !!!! my radio says "Mercedes Benz audio 10 audio 10 cd.jpg cd" at the front panel.... the sr "A170 820 03 86" model FM2910 .... I need the unlock code.

Used this site for some time now . And very good to find the code. Also the one web site will tell you just how to put the code in to the radio. The code on its own is no good , if ypu dont know just how to put it in to the radio..
