Gearbox (auto) appears to be sticking in 2nd - what can I do/ try? It will still go and will de select and can move into reverse but once d engaged seems to stay in 2nd. even manual selection doesn't over ride

have u checked gearbox oil level in other models this happens if low on gearbox oil it just a thought

If it doesn't go above second gear at all it is in limp mode. There is something wrong and the car is not letting you drive it past a certain point to prevent damage.

The car needs to be put on STAR. Where abouts are you located? I may be able to recommend a specialist near by.

sticking gearbox

I have been told to contact Alan Mills in Carluke - lanarkshire, scotland.

It still delivers plenty of speed but only in second, it also felt like it slipped when I engaged D at the traffic lights.

I will get it on the diagnostics !! thanks
