One of you that have committed must have worked this out - how much in total are you budgeting for the whole trip - hotels, ferry, petrol etc?

A rough figure in ££ would help me decide as I'm getting tempted now......
3 full tanks of petrol : £130
3 nights in the hotel (including breakfast) : £60
ferry to Hoek Van Holland: £99
ferry return to Harwich: £118
Food, sundries and entry to the show: £100

£507 in total for one person with a car.

Two people sharing a car would be about £346 each

Three people sharing a car would be about £293 each

Four people sharing a car would be about £266 each

Five people sharing a car would be about £250 each

So how about car sharing then!! :p

Indeed.

Negotiating with Koolvin and Shude (3's a tyre rubbing crowd in Vin's car)......................

but anyone else looking for a passenger to help with the costs??

More inclined to go and not have to drive than the other way around!

EDIT: Also preferably someone with something economical, not a 5 litre V8!

You know I've never had anything but praise for Diesels! LOL only joking anyone up for it??

I would love to go, sounds very exciting, I have always wanted to drive across Europe.

Trouble is I am commited to a couple of big jobs (haymaking) that will be sometime in June or early July depending on the weather. I can't back out because I rely on the extra money for running the car.:p

Perhaps next time.

Any particular reason why? You know you want to do 120-130mph sustained for about an hour on the autobahn, don't you? :)

I would really have to share with someone for me to be able to afford it if I drove.

I would like to see what the car does absolutely maxed out rather than the odd quick chance I've taken in the UK, but me thinks that 150 for a few miles on end might not be the best for my poor car. It gets a hard life anyway.

I think if I drove my car to Germany it would need a good service afterwards, brakes and all which it's about 4 months short of at the moment!!

Also, I think if I had Sat Nav I probably would, but I get lost going 30 miles down the road, getting to Germany would be rediculous :(

Leave booked at work, so I'm a definate :bannana:

I'm a definate! :bannana:

I'll also need to come back to the UK on Sunday, ready for work on Monday :(

Relocate your entire GTG to Germany.

Is there any more info on this GTG other than the website? Any pics from the last event there?

Just trying to get some info so I can convince some other MB owners I know to attend.

Cheers!
