Sent you pm mate.
Hopefully you get it.
I could have these off you.

I have already replied via pm but for others, I don't think they will fit the CLS as they came off a CL65 and the et is 60, I am running them with 20mm spacers just to fit the CL!

I THINK that the CLS and e class have the wheels with an even smaller offset than the CL and S class

I'm afraid you are right. No way they will fit an E or CLS.:(
The ET for an E is 31/39 and the CLS even lower

I'm going to look at a Range Rover tomorrow, the ML isn't big enough for 3 kid seats in the back :(... If I buy it I'll be keeping the CL as a toy

Which RR - TDV8? How about a GL?

It was just the 2.9 (I think) td6?

We really liked it, I was quite surprised as I was expecting a really slow gutless boat and it didn't really feel underpowered at all. The gearbox seems to be the main issue with these but it changed up and down without fault and seemed strong.

The good news is that it's a lot under the 10k budget so we are going to think about getting it over the next few days but I'll keep the CL for now if we do decide to buy it :bannana:

Picked up the Range Rover yesterday and we have done over 250 miles in it already!

It needs a fair bit of work:
Full detail (swirl marks all over it) - done
Jammed cd changer - fixed it with a gentle nudge ;)
The disks are warped so I've ordered front and rear discs and pads
Air con is leaking from the condensor so ordered a new one
It has no spare tyre so I ordered one
It needs an oil and filter change - all bits ordered!
The key fob is falling apart so ordered a new one, it also only has 1 key so I've gotten in touch with a local auto lock smith to get another key made up.
I also had it remapped, the difference is unbelievable!

Other than that it's a fine car and we are really happy with it!

Don't sell AMG I made a schoolboy error. So much so it's advert is still in my favourites. I have resisted buying it back which would be a terrible financial move.

My Mrs told me she doesn't want me to sell it, so did her dad! I'm going to keep it for a while and see if it gets used or not!

Lots of things to fix. Not very well made are they?

Do tell about the remap....

The same could be said of any second hand car.
I wanted one that would be a bit of a project, I enjoy it and the price reflected these things. I did the same with my CL, and our s class too. In fact the lists of things they needed doing made the Range Rover look amazing.

Get ready for the ball joint job. It transforms them.

What ball joint job lol?!

Just bought an EGR delete kit too, ill probably take the intake manifold off when I do it, it's no doubt full of gunk.

Keep the CL

Do you have facility to keep the CL on a trickle charger (Ctec are about the best) to keep the battery up to speed? Take out at weekend to gat a few miles on the clock/smile on the face

Nice RR, health to enjoy.

One of my bros picked up an Overfinch last month...now that thing shifts!!!

Love it, they are the king of 4x4's without question and you get used to driving them pretty quickly. And when you think that you've now got the best part of £200,000 worth of vehicles say on your drive...

And contrary to the LR doom-mongers (who 9 times out of ten regurgitate stories third hand), there a been a few forum members that have bought FFRR and speak positively about ownership - DavidJPowell, Giantvanman, Alx (me!).

Didn't even think of that to be honest... I do have a spare battery I can use if needed. We will see what happens though, if it doesn't get used it will get sold anyway!

Nice one !
Ref the above comment above about a long list - It's not long or a huge issue at all

I've found always when you get a new car you are all bizz and want to make it as best as possible straight away by fixing little niggles , often which the previous owner has failed t sort , maybe due to losing interest / becoming complacent with the car as is
