Goodwood Trackday 2012

Potentially I might be interested in "purchasing" a whole bunch of places for some customers of mine as a day out. But perhaps defer this if the numbers shoot up once the warm weather approaches? Anyway, get back to me Ricky if the numbers look short say by mid March. Ideally I'd need two months to get people to come if I bought the remaining places.

I'm definitely in and so is Jamie. I have another interested party, Pete, who will probably bring a Porsche Cup car. He knows Goodwood extremely well and will probably run rings round us but it is fitted with a passenger seat and I'm sure he'll be happy to give rides. Be warned - he has no fear so bring a change of underwear if you are tempted. If it is dry Fordwater is a 140MPH corner..

I'm also awaiting my colleague Lee's return to work tomorrow - I think he will be up for it, he does have a BMW though . Once I've spoken to him, I will write out a cheque for the relevant number of deposits (I don't think anyone will have a problem with £150 per) and get the money back from the guys directly.

If pete attends might be interesting Gaz, Lucky P and louise who are booked are part of a racing team, it will be interesting to see them alongside each other.

I have some time tomorrow, and will see what the status of Goodwoods calendar bookings is, regards is the Saturday 19th May still available.

19th May not available anymore, bit of a story.

Hi Guys, BAD NEWS
I rang Goodwood this morning with intention to place a deposit with them, unfortunatly Saturday 19th May is not available too us, but there is a twist to this story, but I cannot discuss it on the forum, and need to either PM or discuss with everyone the options, and move quite quickly.
The only other Saturday they now have open is August 18th

Hi mate,

There is a Goodwood run day on the 19th May. People are just booking themselves on it individually through the Goodwood website. There will be a a reasonable turn out from the usual gang.

If you fancy it then book yourself on it...

One spare space Goodwood trackday Sat 19th May

Just to advise that there is now one spare space available for the Goodwood trackday that a few of us are attending, think we have 14 no. of our group plus this space on the day, its Saturday 19th May, £320, 25 car max, 5 cars per session 105DB noise level.
This day was originally planned to be our MB forum track day, but miscommunications with Goodwood, has resulted in us having to basically hijack a 'GOODWOOD' track day, so we have 15 places of which 14 are taken. First come first served.

Setting aside the whoopin! I will be receiving at Goodwood from Simon, and as Mika, take the ladders off Simon, its very distracting! think we are all in for a whooping as you have put it, Maff with his Mclaren and GTO, and Lucky P with his Porsche, both proper drivers, along with Wagon with his Porsche and lager Lout with his Ferrari 430, and think one of the other guys may be bringing his R8, so us AMG boys likely to be slowest on circuit, but really looking forward to it all, going to be fun and look forward to our normal banter between sessions and yes free tea and coffee, thats why we go to Goodwood.
It will be interesting to see what the other 10 cars are that are not within our group. I spoke with Goodwood last week, they confirmed to me that this day is fully booked up.

Sounds like a good mix, as long as I am faster than my mate in his mini I will be happy, to be honest I don't mind if I am slowest it is great fun.

Mental note - do not eat 3lbs of chili con carne before a few hot laps - another lap and I would have puked!

Gutted I cant get on, I did try with Goodwood a couple of weeks ago but as Ricky says was told it was fully booked.
I was hoping you would all follow me around for 1 lap and pretend I was the safety car and then roar off as I pull in to let you all past.
