HELP, I keep looking at Smart cars

Some people may know I am also a Smart speciaist.

In the past 16monts I have replaced 4 Smart engines (the one made by MB)

They just dont last and use oil like its going out of fashion. Get one with LOW miles is my advice.

Agreed, the engines don't last as long as you'd like. Also check the oil regularly as this may cause the engine demise more quickly.

I wouldn't choose one for a long drive or motorway miles, i can't stand the way they throw you all over the road in the wind.

On a lighter note, i did almost get caught for speeding in one overtaking a Hummer!

Not that i condone speeding, merely an error of judgement

Personally think they are a disgrace to Mercedes.

They were all at last cruise taking up valuable space.

my fiancee would love a little smart car and one day we might look at getting her one as a little runaround. she thinks they're cute (as do I) and I think they're (clutchless) semi-auto's aren't they? I know she prefers an autobox over a manual, but a semi-auto would probably fit the bill.

last time I had the SLK serviced I was disappointed when they gave me a manual A-class. I asked what would happen if I only had an auto license and they said they'd give me a smartcar. I asked for the smart immediately but the guy reckeon he'd already checked the car out and everything. shame, would have been ncie to ahve one for a day or three.

what do smart's go for these days anyway?

I bought one for my Mrs. They're economical, great in town and very manoeuvrable. Great build quality, although it does roll back on hills and the gear change gets some getting used to in auto mode!

Shouldn't roll back if it's a 71bhp 451, they have hill start assist (as do the 03 on 698cc ones) Take it back to the dealership under warranty if it is!

My wife does only have an auto only license .... all I do is request an auto when booking in ..... not a problem and will usually get a "nice" car...

I liked them until it changed gear...................:(

ACtually you don't need to change gear. Just rev it to the limiter and it changes up for you  Best done with a warm engine!

Not my cup of tea looks or size wise, but can see the appeal for some. My friend has just bought a new one, he wished he hadn't......but now he's stuck with it.... Oops!

Hi Gucci I am trying to contact swann regarding parts from the w208 that is breaking. If you have front wings, rear lights and possibly the boot lid could you call or text me on 07746925032 or [email protected] (underscore between hill and robert)if you prefer
Thanks
Robert (spongebob):)

I have no idea what you're talking about on account of two things:

1. I don't know Swann
2. I don't have any car parts

It's still a manual box but electronically controlled so the car has to do everything you would do in a manual whilst you do pretty much nothing!
